  1. I don't know how I made it to miss this thread over 6 pages, but this one's going to be the best quality Gibson ever as it will be finalized by a dedicated luthier rather than in the G custom shops. What a great deal Brent.
  2. You might have to drill an additional hole in the middle. On my USAs the stock tuners had two mounting pegs on the edges, while the Sperzels have a single peg in the middle. One thing to keep in mind about Sperzels is the tuning ratio. It's not as precise as other tuners. MC, The Sperzels have a Gear Ratio of 12:1. I'm used to 16-18:1 ratios. How do you "Fine" Tune with the Sperzesl? With Fingerspitzengefuehl!
  3. Great video! One of my favorites: The Six Teens. It has various sections, acoustic slow up to rocking fast, that make this song stand out from the other hits.
  4. I loved this at the time. Should be still sit in the record sleeve. Love Is Like Oxygen has been in the radio the other day. Thought, it still is a modern song though.
  5. Very nice Bigsby action somewhere in the middle. No electronics needed for spacy sounds though.
  6. Currently, I have a set of live songs on my mobile of which I run the full song list at random. This morning Teenage Rampage came to my ears and I was propelled back into youth times. Information at your fingertips, it was quickly revealed what the band is doing today since singer Brian Connolly and drummer Mick Tucker have passed live years ago. It looks like it is still an actively touring band with a quality line-up only having guitarist Andy Scott in the band. My favorite longplayer always have been Give Us A Wink. Off The Record was a favorite too at the time, but lost much of its pace to me today. I know Sweet have a different history in the US than in Europe. What was your SWEET though?
  7. What about the Echotone?
  8. Ainsley Lister plays a bluesy version of Prince's Purple Rain. Not way better but a great translation to the blues. Actually, there is no way to make it better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y3CaMvtn8I
  9. I prefer the first period with Moody/Marsden on guitar. Also dig some stuff of the 90s, but lost much interest in the new stuff.
  10. Happy Birthday Chris. Alles Gute!
  11. You are supposed to buy an iPhone4.
  12. Buy the iPhone. I own shares.
  13. Sounds great. Rock on with it!
  14. Great thread so far. And a warm welcome to our new member. The old Slammer series are supposed to be excellent, especially for the money. It might make sense to replace parts of the electronics to more quality. It looks like you've turned to this path already.
  15. GREAT THREAD!
  16. I seriously thought I would make the highest account number of all posters in this thread . But it looks like I failed. Morris Davis made the race and became the winner.
  17. Saying welcome to new board member triodecr, I was really impressed about the member number inflation. It seems that spam requests are blowing off the counter. Almost a year ago it's been below 10k. Now, it is heading 40k.
  18. That's the BM Signature mid prized guitar made in Korea. It's being used in the WWR musicals around the globe. Sound comes quite close to the original. Change pickups to Adeson replicas and you will achieve another step sound wise. It doesn't have the BM knife edge trem, but has the original wiring scheme. There is a custom version available from BHM Guitars called the 'Special' that's fairly close to the original. Still built in Korea, but of high quality. Production is limited to 100 a year I think. The Special have been used live by the master himself. It had the signature SPECIAL written on the body. If not edited there should be photos around.
  19. I've read once they go the 5-7k direction. Fairly cheap considering a Jol-Theme.
  20. It's all available... Wanna buy some parts? http://www.rsconversions.com/ (US site) http://www.redspecialparts.com/index.php (Italian site) Wanna buy a stock RS? http://rsguitars.com/default.aspx (Excellent US custom made) http://www.brianmayguitars.co.uk/ (The Master's site) http://www.guytonguitars.com/ (The most expensive! He x-rayed the original! Read the story of production. Its quite interesting)
  21. We will know in a few weeks right?
