WT actual F??? There's just so much wrong about that situation.

That's one thing I never worried about in the old cover band. My co-guitarist was 250 lbs of mostly muscle, some martial arts training and a license to carry concealed, my drummer was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I was 225 lbs with a fair amount of muscle and a black belt in Japanese Kempo and an Il Dan Bo belt in Tae Kwon Do.

I've said before, ever since Dimebag Darrell, anyone who comes onto a stage should be considered fair game.  There's no more "you don't know if he was really a danger" because it's happened.

Years ago, after the Monica Seles stabbing incident, somebody jumped on the ice at an NHL game.  Linesman Ron Asselstine (a former biker) spotted the sky, skated at him and buried the guy into the boards and tackled him.  Someone asked after the game if he thought his actions were a little over the top, and Asselstine said something like, "No.  Not at all.  You saw what happened to the tennis player?  My job is to protect the players.  I don't know if this guy has a knife, or a gun, but I know he's not supposed to be there."

That’s messed up… 

it was probably a combination of intoxication and psychological factors. That’s just not normal behavior and I hope he got his ass beat for pulling that.

The only guy in the photo who looks tough is the guy on the left with his foot on the wall. May be a high school thing but that's how I hanged. Is that you on the left?

Boxed Junior Golden Gloves in Orlando at the Orlando Sports Stadium until I was 14.  Trained Wing Chun for about three years.  Basically, I learned to be ready.  And keep my eyes open.  Everything is a weapon and nobody is bullet proof.  My dad bought me a Walther PPK for my eighteenth birthday.  That's a "James Bond gun" for those of you that don't know.  I have a concealed carry for it every day.  Be ready.

These lads in Parmalee were like our (Mother Nature's) younger cousins in the eastern NC rock scene during the early '90s.  I wasn't really shocked that (a) they turned country given the barometer reading of blues rock music in the new millennium and (b) either Scott or Matt was packing heat whilst playing clubs across the southeastern USA.  A textbook example of F around and find out.

😆 The guy on the left was our initial bassist. Truthfully, he would likely be the last guy I'd count on in a fracas. He was that guy in the band who was always smarmy towards women in the audience. I think his participation in the band was more an effort to meet women.

We deal with excited delirium patients sometimes, it is scary, especially if we have to administer a big ol' dose of Haldol to get them under control. Lots of drunks and hostile family members too, I have been threatened many times. We count on our pals the sheriffs deputies in these situations, I like to say that I'll be "in the rear with the gear".  I am a lover, not a fighter!

As somebody who use to work security in musical venues I can tell you things can go from zero to 100 pretty quickly. And it almost always involved way too much alcohol. We had a policy of not even letting you in the venue if you appeared incapacitated in any way. Booze, drugs or manic behavior. Even if you had a ticket. We were lucky to have a good relationship with the local police and they always had a quick response if required.

I'd think most places now have fine print stating you can be refused entry at the discretion of the venue or some legalese wording.
