tommy p Posted Monday at 02:39 PM Posted Monday at 02:39 PM No, I wasn't there but I am certainly interested so I've been looking at some of the reviews and videos being posted. Decent setlist, and really cool opening with Xanadu and having Aimee Mann come out for Time Stand Still. Set 1: Xanadu Limelight Far cry Subdivisions Freewill Bravado (Neil tribute) Caravan La villa strangiato Vital signs Spirit of radio Set 2: 2112 / Temple of syrix Distant Early Warning Red Barchetta Dreamline Natural Science Time Stand Still (with Aimee Mann) Red Sector A YYZ The Garden Tom Sawyer (South Park) Encore: BYTOR and The Snow Dog Working Man Alex also played an Explorer-style guitar which I've never seen before, and Geddy wore a shirt when he played his doubleneck that seems to be a nod to certain other Canadian band that's getting a ton of interest right now. I saw a video of the "drum fill" section of Tom Sawyer and the crowd roared in approval when Anika hit it. I'll be interested in hearing what any of you that actually make it to a show think. An old friend dropped by but he was just working his day job. 6 1 Quote

Steve Haynie Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM Posted yesterday at 02:02 AM Is Anikka hitting a crash cymbal backhanded at the early part of Tom Sawyer and also in Subdivisions? 1 Quote

Well, she is like 43. I can't tell from the picture, but what is that explorer looking guitar? Did Godin make it for him? Quote

RobB Posted yesterday at 05:38 AM Posted yesterday at 05:38 AM Well, Gibson may have to sue themselves. That guitar is shaped VERY much like an Explorer. 3 Quote
mrjamiam Posted yesterday at 01:11 PM Posted yesterday at 01:11 PM I started listening to a capture of the entire first show. After Xanadu I was excited and interested to see online complaints of the plummet in ticket resale prices after the extra shows were added, thinking I might make an attempt to go after all. Then I heard Geddy croak out Limelight and now I think I will remain satisfied with the four tours I caught in the 80's. It's normal and natural for singers to lose their fastball, so to speak, but they have plenty of other fans to fill the seats. More power (windows) to them. 4 Quote
Spinaltap Posted yesterday at 02:37 PM Posted yesterday at 02:37 PM I love the internet, I found a dl of the full show ... 1 Quote
