Stike Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 So who's bringing what? Sounds like Daves got things covered gear wise or is this also a shine n' show of sorts?
cmatthes Posted July 15, 2006 Author Posted July 15, 2006 It'll be a little bit of everything of the above. People are bringing their personal fiddles and there will be a few on hand as well. Lotsa Hamers, but a few other things here and there from other makers. If there's something you'd like to bring (or try?) pop a post here - somebody should be able to pull it off!
kizanski Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Trying to firm up hotel/shuttle rates. Here's what I got, attendance-wise. Please fill in the blanks (when you're arriving, if someone will be with you, etc.)...Stike & Ryan Gadow Poe & Denise Kiz Johnny Thunders George & Carmie BruceM & Bro Gary Serial Jaye Isham Ok - my travel plans have been finalized, and although I had made reservations at that Ramada in Rockville (I even spoke to Claudia Lopez - lol ), I only had that as a backup. My lovely bride, Donna, expressed an interest in attending the festivities, and made arrangements for Poe, Denise, and us at The Inn at Peralynna Manor. I sure hope this will be up to my standards. I can be very demanding. Here's an example of their suites. The one we're staying in, however, is brand new and, according to the innkeeper, has yet to be photographed and is much more luxurious. This is a good thing becuase I deserve to be pampered, and the room below simply will not do. (We're actually staying three nights). This is a photo of Poe & Denise's bedroom (I'm not even kidding). I guess I'll cancell that room at the Ramada tomorrow morning...
cmatthes Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 Oh that's cool and all, but you know that the charges for trashing your room are going to be 10 X the going Ramada rate! Make sure you bring nylon strings and dampers, ladies!! (ha ha!) Actually, if that's the place in Columbia, it's supposed to be very nice.
edgar_allan_poe Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Cool as hell. I would like to stay at the Ramada, where all the action is...but alas, D wears the pants in my family. I guess I will have to put up with a miserable weekend *sigh*. Hanging out with the boys in the day, and being forced into sexual slavery in the evening. *sigh* I lead a very tough life. PS I have no idea how I will pay for this.
kizanski Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 Actually, if that's the place in Columbia, it's supposed to be very nice. That's the one!
elduave Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Yeah that place is nice, but you know they don't have AC right?
elduave Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I need a head count please of folks who need transportation from the Ramada Rockville to Olney & back. We're doing this so that those who want to party hearty will avoid any trouble.
JohnnyThunders Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Count me in to party and shuttle back, how far is it?

Donna, Denise, Poe & I should be all set.Poe has been teaching Denise how to drive (yes - a terrifying thought), so the 3 of us are going to get trashed and let Denise chauffer us around!
