BadgerDave Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 One more that needs a new home. Feather light near mint AKIII with Fralin P-90s (10% underwound neck, stock middle) and genuine (not StewMac) Bill Lawrence bridge humbucker. I will include the three original Duncan P-90s with black covers, black chickenhead selector and black bell knobs as well as the original Hamer harshell case. To be absolutely clear, you get six pickups and eight knobs! No nicks, dings repairs or other issues, frets are 99% with no visible wear, maybe a few light pick marks on the front, but absolutely nothing that would cause the guitar to be rated lower than near mint. $1,200.00 plus shipping, PayPal OK w/added 3%. Sorry, no trades.
MCChris Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 To be absolutely clear, you get six pickups and eight knobs! Why don't you toss in the oven dial and make it nine knobs? Or did you pop that one back on your stove?
silentman Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Yeah, the diamond knob is th3 shiz and the real selling point of the guitar.
sw686blue Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Badger is a master when it comes to super cool Hamers. This, unfortunately, is not one of them. Get rid of that knob dude.
BadgerDave Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 I'm more than willing to listen to ideas for a knob that doesn't look like ass in that spot.Unfortunately, I've found it impossible to locate a brown or gold chickenhead knob with a set screw. Lots of press-ons out there - they won't work. What do you think about putting the original black chickenhead back on - better?

BadgerDave Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Got one. Yours for a kiss. GregDandy to the rescue!SMOOTCH!!!!
tomteriffic Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 I think it's the set-screw that's the issue, not the color, Ben.
MCChris Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Dave, my Valvetech 50-watter has six cream chicken heads with set screws. Rob's gettin' 'em from somewhere, so such an animal does exist.
BadgerDave Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 Weber sell them. Yes they do!Holy crap, who knew that Ted Weber was sitting on the motherlode of chickenheads? Chocolate, purple, cream, oxblood and half a dozen other colors.THANKS!
atquinn Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Dave,If you'd be interested in selling the 3 Duncan P90's separately, let me know; I'd be interested in buying them.-Austin
BCR Greg Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 So I guess I keep my knob, and you get the Weber hookup, eh?
BadgerDave Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 Austin, Thanks, I'll let you know.Greg, likewise, thanks for the offer, but I can use several of the Weber knobs, so I'll just order an assortment.Great folks on this board!
sw686blue Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 Austin, if BadgerDave decides not to part with his pickups, I have a set (bridge & neck) of Duncan P90s that were pulled from a Korina Special.
