BTMN Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 There is a GMP Pawnshop with a lil "Flamejob" on it on Evilbay along with this REALLY nice GMP Firebird!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/GMP-White-Firebird-Cla...1QQcmdZViewItem
BCR Greg Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 That's not the last one, THIS one is... Serial number 1074. They were shut down, and I still had guitars in progress. This one had no parts installed when I got it from them, and no wire channels for the pickups. The short BCR run of wraparound 'Birds.... I miss those guys. They made GREAT guitars towards the end of the run.
BTMN Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Where were you at 4pm when I went to play the cash 4 here in Florida today? I played 1028 the winner was 1074 7x4=28 and oh NEVER MIND!!!!! http://www.flalottery.com/inet/SearchResul...ate+search.y=11
serial Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 And probably the last bass, possibly the last GMP (#1101)...
cmatthes Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 And probably the last bass, possibly the last GMP (#1101)... I'm going to borrow that one this weekend, okay?! No - really.
elduave Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Can you please grab me an FB bass while you're at it?
BCR Greg Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I have the complete set of pics for the routing and installation of the hardware on that bass around here somewhere, I threw a few tools and yelled acouple of times during that! The last couple GMP guitar and bass "kits" never went together quite as easily as one would want... LOL Edit Lookee what I found on the home computer....... Yup. I route freehand with a Dremel. Serial's hands shook more taking the pic than mine did carving into his bass..... LOL. He's such a wuss. It turned out fine.
serial Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Oh yeah, and for Cruster, lest he be so concerned-these were finished up with the blessings of GMP before they officially closed their doors. These were sold for value BY GMP. Dude, find another pot to stir, you knob.
Guest cruster Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Oh yeah, and for Cruster, lest he be so concerned-these were finished up with the blessings of GMP before they officially closed their doors. dry.gifThese were sold for value BY GMP. Dude, find another pot to stir, you knob.I have to say, I've never gotten a reply to one of my posts on one site on a completely different site. As to the ad hominem component...heh, I haven't been called a 'knob' since, gosh, maybe junior high.
serial Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Someone emailed it to me. You are a knob, troll, whatever-read this post sport-no one describes anything other than what they are. Two instruments were 95%+ complete and offered for sale to an authorized dealer as the company was in the process of wrapping up. GMP added and recorded the serial numbers before THEY shipped them out to their authorized dealer who simply installed the bridge and strings on my bass. They were never offered for sale to the general public. Good lord, you must have no life to have to get off by trying to stir $hit up like this, no matter where you do it. Pathetic.Go away already, you knob.
MCChris Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 That white one was HOT.I know. I was just drooling over that one myself.Loving the Serial/cruster clash too. Keep it going, fellas!

serial Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Certainly was, but the results were fantastic!
cmatthes Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Loving the Serial/cruster clash too. Keep it going, fellas! Ditto! Of course, I blame Gene - he and Serial have been causing all kinds of trouble on the internet lately.
MCChris Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Loving the Serial/cruster clash too. Keep it going, fellas! Ditto! Of course, I blame Gene - he and Serial have been causing all kinds of trouble on the internet lately. Lately?
Guest cruster Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Loving the Serial/cruster clash too. Keep it going, fellas! Ditto! Of course, I blame Gene - he and Serial have been causing all kinds of trouble on the internet lately. I guess I don't see it as a 'clash' as much as a misunderstanding. Logically, if the people here are not representing the instruments in this thread as other than what they are, as Serial has stated and which, I hasten to add, I have not claimed (here or elsewhere), then the topic of my post somewhere else on the Intertron can't be related to this thread. Which, I think, would lead a rational person to conclude that Serial's ire has been raised and directed towards me in defiance of logic. <shrug> Now, the name calling, I have to admit, I find quite humorous. Seriously, I haven't been called a 'knob,' nor have I heard anyone called a 'knob' in decades. 'Sport,' as a term of derision, has about the same effect as 'chief' as far as I'm concerned. Which is to say it's pretty tame. 'Troll, or whatever' is really kind of cliche almost to the point of being trite. Serial, I hope that the 'someone' that emailed you my initial post from NotThisMessageBoard has also mailed you my follow-ups. Or, maybe you can just pop over there and read them yourself and respond there, as I think it'd be more constructive and appropriate. Given your apparent opinion of me, you might find this hard to believe, but if I wanted to draw attention to this specific thread on this particular board, I would have posted my thoughts here. Can you imagine a reason why I didn't post on this thread?
serial Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 That you would have been an even more obvious idiot/$hit stirrer than you are? C'mon chief, I saw your initial post. You couldn't have been more transparent if you tried. Go away already unless you have something positive to contribute. As for terms that I refer to you in since you wish to appear as quite the wordsmith, perhaps I should just call you "Cruster"...Cruster (n.)- usu. a transient, or anyone visibly down on their luck, and occasionally literally as when a transient or drunk wakes and his hair is held in place by the dried gook he fell asleep in. (PC term: person of crust).Or perhaps you'd prefer "chief", sport.
