$300.00. Add fee if PayPal used.

This bass is a killer player that has a very wide variety of sonic capabilities. Keep your nice museum piece for home and studio use and gig with this one!!!

Has one of the nicest Brazilian rosewood boards I've ever seen and I've seen many!!!

Will give a better deal to HFC Bro if it's sold off of eBay and postal money order is used. Same goes for any of my other auctions.

I see Serial's serial # list here has a Cruise listed with an '81 serial #, but the "models" page here lists '82 as the first year of Mfr.

Thanks for looking!

This looks nice - these are really great-playing basses:

The first Cruisebasses actually came out in the summer of '81, but I don't think that they were carried on the price sheets until '82. The earliest ones I've seen (8/81) had standard serial number schemes, but many from later that month and into the next month or two/three were four digit serialed, including ones made for Sting and Pete Farndon. I LOVE the old Cruisebasses. Had a really nice '84 that I sold when I stopped gigging on bass for a while and the next month, got another bass job. Figures.

I've got an '81 and '82 and they have yet to not drop a jaw when someone picks them up. One had a slimmer neck, once had nice, chunky neck--both super playable. Huge P-bass neck tone and good versatility blending the 2 p'ups.

Best balance/ ergonomics of a bass in existence, IMO.

Neither will ever leave me, if I have any say so in the matter.

Somebody's gonna miss out here in a big way if they don't hurry. If you're looking for one to hang on a wall, this may not be it, but if you're gonna play, then time's-a-wasting....

I've got to stay married, so I have to sit this one out.

Best wishes

And if anyone scores this one and needs an original case (not sure if this one has original HSC or not), I know where one can be had.

Cool basses indeed.

Nice Bass.

I'm lucky to have one like it from '82 also but with a single J pickup. That one has been changed to a Red Duncan J from the early '80's. Things sounds like a piano unpluged.

One day I will own one of these, but January is a month for an income tax deposit, business insurance renewal, and a couple of other annual expenses that pop up at this time. I could really go for that Cruise. The sound of a mahogany neck and body on a bass is special to me.

Poop!! The nut width does it for me :P Looks great man!! Somebody buy this sweety :) Jack.

Not sure? I have never played bass, just wanting to learn and I am not good on guitars with the 1 5/8 nut width as I prefer the 1 11/16 or 1 3/4 widths. Jack.

Hi Jack,

Okay. Now I understand.

This bass has a nice round/full contour on the back of the neck. That, combined with the fatter strings that basses have, makes for a pretty large feeling neck profile.

Let me know if you want to talk about it over the phone for more detail and I'll send you my phone #.

Thanks,

Frank

I've got one of those, and they sound great! Your's is a good example. If anyone wants a good workhorse.... buy this bass. I haven't seen it with this finish in this good of shape in a long time. Do you want to trade some gear for it? I'd love to have it.
