kizanski Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Jeff et al. What kind of bandwidth is available at this gig?I'm thinking streaming video...Oh wow...I don't know if it could be done (The answer to the bandwidth question could very well be "None") but I think that's a GREAT idea!Cajun Jam goes GLOBAL!
cswilder Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I'm in.....plus I can probably bring another boat.
thecajunboy Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 boat? There's a popular river in the general area. It's not accessible via the State Park. Local area boat ramps are within a ten mile radius though. There's one club on the river that's accessible only via water, and it gets hopping pretty good in the summer. I'm not sure it'll be open in early April. Possible that there will be a marine poker run though, and that might be cause for them to be open. Early April isn't the time of year to expect to see dozens of bronzed, thong clad, nubile goddesses gracing the dock. That said, I have a boat, but I wasn't planning to bring it.
Jeff R Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 Cajun Jam is open to HFC'ers, their spouses/significant others, a handful of our crazy Cajun buddies and any strippers and/or "escorts" we recruit.
gwayne Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Six months to go...hmmmm. ..better get my will updated.
Guest Meshuggah Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Six months to go... hmmmm. ..better get my will updated. Better add traveler's insurance to the list...
JohnnyThunders Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 3 months to go! Ok are we getting serious yet? I have a seminar in Orlando at Mickey World starting the 7th so I'm in. I was thinking about following up on an idea McChris had for one of the Midwest Jams. "How about we do the complete Stooges FunHouse album? I think it would fit perfect after seeing that bunkhouse picture. It's going to be the Funhouse for the weekend. So if anyone is interested in doing vocals, base, drums, lead guitar let's get it together. I'll be giving it my best shot on rhythm. but hey join in. Also we could use a sax on a couple songs and sax players out there? PS. Also I have to throw in " I Wanna be your Dog”. It's my favorite song.
MCChris Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 "How about we do the complete Stooges FunHouse album? I love that idea. "L.A. Blues" doesn't even require anyone to "get it together." In fact, actually getting that song together would ruin it, not to mention be impossible lol.
belgian Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I'll start inquieries on plane tickets tomorrow, I'll try to combine it with an Austin trip (I have some friends over there).

SteveB Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 spose I should learn some actual songs or something. Lets make a list of good jam tunes, that don't involve 75 chorus's of "Mustang Sally" or "Blues in A". I'm planning on roadtripping from Houston if anyone wants a ride or something.
pesocaster Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 I'll be eating a sick day or 2 to go to this... priming my liver as I post... ha ha ha ha
Jeff R Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 I'll try to combine it with an Austin trip (I have some friends over there).Paging Bruiser Brody, to the white courtesy phone ...
thecajunboy Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 CAJUN JAM TO BE RESCHEDULEDCAJUN JAM 2008, originally scheduled for April 4,5 & 6, 2008 has been postponed. The Cajun Jam team, CB, JeffR, and Foodermon, regretfully bring this bit of bad news to our HFC friends. This was a hard decision to reach, and is a product of much thought and evaluation. Be assured that this latest development is not a result of anything that's taken place here on the board, or off the board for that matter, between anyone here. Quite simply, your three Cajun Jam presenters have each experienced some personal changes that are impacting our ability to work on this as hard as we would like to, and time from now until the originally scheduled date is filled with personal activities which have compromised our ability to catch up and put on the show that we originally intended. Please accept our sincere apologies for this unpleasant turn of events. Jeff and I are already checking on dates for a rescheduled event.
MCChris Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Bummer, but understandable. It ain't easy putting on an event like this.Appreciate the update though. I was gonna look into airfares next week.
cmatthes Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I actually just lined up airfare, so thanks for the quick heads-up! Keep us posted...
gwayne Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Man, this sucks in a way, but I wasn't going to be able to attend on the original dates due to work constraints, so this could be good news for me. Keep us posted guys. Thanks for all the hard work thus far.G
BTMN Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Aw Man. C'est la vie. Now to plan on invading the Midwest in September......
