Yeah, he was selling that before (a couple weeks ago) and I contacted him about it and got the runaround. Turned out for the best though, since I ended up buying a Studio that was more-suited for me.

How much should I be concerned? I am interested - do you think he's misrepresenting it, or just a flake in general?

I just think he's a flake. I wouldn't worry about it unless you actually get him to agree to sell it to you :blink:

I just bought an Aiken Intruder from the same guy. Took a little while (which was more about his bank holding up my out-of-state check), but I got the amp and it was packed great.

I hesitate to endorse anyone I don't know well, but PM me if want some more info on my transaction with him.

I've been trying to buy this guitar from him for a week. Tried to close the deal and got no response. Makes me nervous when I'm trying to buy something and it just keeps getting bumped in the post without any return communication. Just my .02

I like the hotplate in the first picture. And I am not referring to an attenuator.

That was one of the problems I experienced with him. I had contacted atquinn since I knew he was interested too and atquinn had told me that he flat out offered to buy it. When I asked the seller if it was still available he said that it was.

Too many red flags for me. Someone may get a great deal on a very cool guitar or ...

I was trying to buy that one a few months back, ended up buying a FM Special from DavidE here. Let's just say I felt more comfortable buying from a member of this board. I don't want to say anything negative about the guy, because I just don't know the man, let me just say the vibe just didn't feel right, and I'm a gut feeling guy.

Yeah, just strange that with several emails sent with trying to close the deal the seller keeps bumping the ad on the gear page and seems to be ignoring pm's, emails, and replies. Shouldn't have to be this difficult to buy something. I figure if communication is this difficult before money is sent I don't want to know what will happen after. The post also mentions positive ebay feedback but the rating is not very good. Weird!

I've been watching this guitar since he put it on thegearpage...and I just really gotta believe that this guy's out to rip somebody. I wanted to pull the trigger from the get go, but w/ his low amount of posts, and the fact that he didn't reply to the first pm...enough to shy me away. Too bad though, I 'd LOVE to have this guitar.

I remember too asking for pics of the headstock, front and back, and never got a response. That's what scared me off. Could be fine, but I wasn't taking the chance.

He seems responsive to general questions but not when it comes down to buying it.

Perhaps he's trying to get loads of people to send him money orders and is just waiting until he has several of us on the hook?

It does appear to be a nice guitar, but the insistence on money orders and other vagueries is too much gamble for me.

Hi, I try to respond to every E-mail! I have sent my phone # to several people intrested? No Reply? People cant read- Postal M.O. Conus only? I am not a Flake!
