WTB- Short scale electric

Looking for a short scale electric for Annie.

She loves her baby Taylor, and asked about a Brian May MiniMay.

The 17 inch scale creeps me out, and wondering what might be out there.

Something 24 inch? Maybe a mustang, or Jagstang, or anydamnthang!

:)

THis may not apply to your purposes, but I've had good luck with kids on normal scale guitars simply by tuning down and capoing the first fret. It's free when it's time to step up, too.

My 10 year old daughter has had great luck with her Fender Duo-Sonic. I don't know if they still make this model or not, but it seems well-built (Mexico) and actually sounds great. The only downer is the tuners, but they are easily swapped and this, too, will be viable as the player grows. I play it a lot and find the short scale makes for some "expanded" chord voicing choices. Good luck. Z

After some searching around, it doesn't seem like there's anything

really approaching a gig-worthy instrument other than a mustang.

There are several cutesy models, but nothing I would say that's INSPIRING to play.

Does anybody know of a good quality (not booteeky/custom shop) maker

that makes solid 24 or 23 in scale guitars?

Although they're hard to find, it might work to snag one of the reissues of this one:

I've got a Warmoth 7/8 strat body with a 24 3/4" scale. PM me if interested.

Geoff, the PM shows an error message when I try to send anything to you. So here goes.

This guitar is a project with body, neck and pickgaurd.

7/8 size alder body, hardtail, bathtub route. I sanded the amature finish off so it is now down to bare wood.

Neck is quite nice. 24 fret 24/34" NOT a conversion neck. Maple/rosewood with a tung oil finish.

White singleply proprietary to the body size pickguard. 3 single coil, two control, blade switch cutouts.

I can send pics if wanted.

$150.00 shipped

If you want more info I'd be glad to get it to you.

Thanks

Rick
