Buster Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 FS: 1995 Hamer Studio wrap-tail in au natural. Sweet flame top that is very 3-D depending on how you hold the guitar. Currently sports a Pigtail Aluminum intonatable bridge and Tone Pros locking studs. Also has a Rio BBQ in the bridge. The neck is the original 59 (which is the best one I've ever heard). Added pearloid tuner buttons and Schaller straplocks. As per my other Hamers, I have dulled the finish on this neck as well, but it is completly reversable with some polish...I just prefer the feel of the neck this way (think raw maple feel without taking the actual finish off). There are a couple of superficial indentations on the top of the guitar that will not photograph. Also, the locking stud screws have been buggered a bit. My setup guy was simply not familiar with them and attempted to lock them down with an undersized screwdriver...but, nonetheless, they are still intact. Also of note, there is a slight bit of Hameritis on the neck, bass side, around frets 2-4...nothing major...just your typical stuff. Asking $850 shipped, to the lower 48. PayPal is cool, but please add the customary 3%. Sorry, but not looking for trades at this time. Please let me know if you have questions. Here are a couple of pics:
MCChris Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Did it have Sperzels at one point? Looks like it in the second photo.I have a Studio just like this one. Same year too. Great, great guitars.
Buster Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 MC: Yes it did have Sperzels...they were on the guitar when I got it and I didn't like them...I just put the originals back on...no harm, no foul...
discountsounds Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I have a '95 Studio with the wraptail, too. Excellent. $850 is a good price, too.
Brewmaster Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Beautiful! My favorite Hamer's are the 95 Studios with the wrap tail.
silentman Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Damn! I was just talking to a friend last night saying I should have never sold my 95 studio. I miss it. Alas, I'm paying off an amp and can't get this one.

belgian Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Hamer had fantastic tops at that period, and the wrap bridge is just an extra on these, I prefer these over a tom bridge.
MCChris Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 this is like MCChris' 'cept w/o all the rust and slime... You know it:

59burst Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 That one's exactly like mine-runs to basement to check if it's still there. Best playing guitar I own. How come I have gas for a guitar I already own?
Brooks Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 aaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.....what's the neck like?
kizanski Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 this is like MCChris' 'cept w/o all the rust and slime... You know it: Who's that! ? That's The Muse. The 3/4 Black Flag tattoo is a dead giveaway.
Buster Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 Brooks: The neck is a nice medium...definately not skinny...and not like today's vintage carve...just feels great...really...Erik
