Stike Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Rio does sell mini humbuckers for the P-90 rout....... /quote] Blasphemy! That guitar is meant for P-90s. Any other pup in there would stand out like a sore thumb. Wish I was learned in Photoshop. I could show you how terrible it would look with anything else. And man it just looks so damn good with what it's got now.... A trio of Filtertrons would look sweet!
elduave Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 Bump Something's gotta go. '07 Monaco III, used by me. Black Satin all over including the Spruce top (they don't normally do opaques over Spruce-this was a one-off for me), multi-ply binding on head and body, single-ply on the neck, bound f-holes, Pearloid buttons, dark rosewood board, harp tailpiece, 3-way toggle, neck volume/bridge volume/master tone with push-pull to activate middle pickup, Duncan P90's (ordered with a stacked P90 in the bridge but it wasn't sounding right so the factory put the stock P90 in for me). I think that's everything. Slick tuxedo look, still my favorite looking Hamer that I've owned, but I gotta move something and this gets the call. $1950 shipped within the US, extra for International, cash/check/MO/Paypal/major credit cards in the US, bank transfer International.
Siaip Ciuvas Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 its all against my taste - can't stand hollowbodies, don't like P90s, but its first time a guitar with theese features made me think "damn, I need 2000$, quick!" Good luck with sale. Someone for sure will love this instrument!
hamerfan50 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Hello Dave, Beautiful guitar my friend. I'm very interested in your guitar. Here's my situation Dave and maybe you, or one of the wordly and wise HFC members can shed some light on this for me. I'm a blues player, and to that end I have 4 Daytonas ( , yes I know I need help), a Studio Custom and a Monaco Elite. I really want a semi hollow to create a full, rich and open natural overdrive and am kinda ready to pull the trigger on a Newport Pro with either P-90's or SD Seth Lovers...until I saw your axe. Can you Dave or anyone offer any insights as to the tone versus one or both of the NP models I referenced? Thank you Dave and everyone else in the outstanding forum for your time and assistence. Sincerely, Westley
BubbaVO Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 That is the Elvis in the black leather '68 Comeback Special of guitars.
cmatthes Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 That is the Elvis in the black leather '68 Comeback Special of guitars.Well put! That guitar flat out rocks. There, I said it again.
elduave Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 Can you Dave or anyone offer any insights as to the tone versus one or both of the NP models I referenced? Thanks for the nice post. I'm *really* bad at tone reports/comparisons, although I imagine this guitar would well suited for blues. Should you (or anyone) want to grab this one, I'm offering 72-hour approval. Just return it if it's not your bag.Cheers.

elduave Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 As I've never seen a hollow body ME, can you please tell me if the sound chamber is completely or partially open?ME? You mean Monaco Elite? That's not this one. This a Monaco III based on the Monaco, and there is a center block.

elduave Posted October 20, 2008 Author Posted October 20, 2008 Anyone? Offers? Partial trades? I have some amps that I need to part with: '59 Bassman reissue Mesa Lone Star THD Type O (maybe) Thanks. Looking for easily sell-able/ship-able stuff. Gibson, Fender, or PRS guitars.
specialk Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I can't believe this guitar hasn't sold yet. It's a cool one!
elduave Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 Have you tried the Gear Page?I honestly don't remember. I'll check...
elduave Posted November 13, 2008 Author Posted November 13, 2008 Bump. If someone buys this, all the money will go towards the tent, chairs, heater and stuff for our annual customer appreciation/recital/holiday festivities night, and you're all invited. I know I owe Michael a pic of the back...
c-dub Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Interested in a pic of the back as well. Or at least knowing whether it is rear routed.
cmatthes Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I don't believe that has back routing - it is the regular M3 back. I've played that one and looked it over a good bit, and it is a fantastic guitar in every way. If I had the extra $$ lying around, I'd have already jumped on that guitar. Somebody is going to be very happy with that one.
elduave Posted November 19, 2008 Author Posted November 19, 2008 On the 'Bay. If someone here is interested I'll deduct final value fees from the price if purchased direct. Pictures of the back on this thread later today. Afew other things up as well...http://stores.ebay.com/Rocketeria-Music
Factree Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I normally don't chime in on these kinds of things, but I CAN NOT believe this guitar is still available. Someone needs to buy this, it is a steal at that price. I might have bought it long ago if it were gloss finished.
