serial Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 But wait! It gets better..... Overalls!?! WTF? Again-what's with the fake live pictures? Is it to show that this guy can rock out most fiercely even when he's in a room with no one else but the photographer? From the first eBay ad he had up maybe a year ago, you got the sense that this guy was convinced that he was much greater than he actually was (notice I don't say "is"). No I don't know him and have never heard his music, but if you wear a Cheetos headset mike and wear a short strap and overalls for fake playing pictures, you get what you deserve. Clearly it ain't easy being this cheezy!! THAT was good! LOL!

There are some pics on their site of him playing live in a union suit (long johns!) the site is pretty funny, check it out. www.murdermetal.com The drummer collects artwork by serial killers, I am not kidding...
serial Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Indeed, there should be throngs of visible fans, like in this pic: Except that that pic was actually from a live show where there were people in attendance (including several HFCers). The overalls pic looks like it was taken on a soundstage, not a live performance. Besides, as much as this guy obviously sweats, you'd see it...

You think these slugs would actually be able to afford a soundstage, versus playing at shitholes with tiled ceilings? Look, there are obviously many reasons to bag on this fuck, and in fact I did so in the image I posted. But they are a metal band of renown in this area. That's not up for debate. I don't have an exhaustive bio about me or any of my bands up on AllMusic. Do you? I think you're pissed because this lowlife is in possession of a very desirable Hamer if not the first Floyd-ed Hamer ever, as he claims.
zorrow Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Well guys, be his Vector either desirable or not (for me it is), and be the guy a slug or not (I don't really care), all I can say is their music is funny as hell -- I can't stop laughing! Have a listen here:http://www.myspace.com/macabrehttp://www.amazon.com/Dahmer/dp/B0018U13E8...dmusic_cd_album
Scottcrud Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 Guys here like to be dickbags and that's cool, I've done my share of goofin on people. But Really, listen to their myspace page, the guy is a lot better than you guys are making him out to be. In fact I'd go as far as he can play (and is very proficient) a style of music most of you guys can't. And I know, why would we wanna play music like that etc. etc. blah, blah...But the fact is their drummer is a machine and their music is entertaining.
serial Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 That guy's a dickbag with attitude in previous auctions-I've seen it on other pages when he sold off his Deans-I don't care how great he was. And his is NOT the first Floyded Hamer OR Vector. Hamer was Floyding them (in fact there's a black Vector w/Floyd over a month before his). His IS a four digit and an early Floyd though.Edited to add that I HATE the Vectors with the snakeheads. That's the one Hamer guitar I've never had the desire to own. The fact that it has a Floyd makes it all that much less appealing to me.
zorrow Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I contacted him and the guy is quite rough, yes -- and quite greedy too... I actually wrote to him about his Vector and his answer made me almost to reply "you can stick your guitar up your ass".

I actually wrote to him about his Vector and his answer made me almost to reply "you can stick your guitar up your ass". I rest my case. As I mentioned above, this guy was quite a bit of a dick when selling things previously. You would have thought he was Eddie Van Halen or Eric Clapton. As far as me being a dickbag for harshing on the guy-piss off-my reaction was to what I've seen of the guy's prickish personality. I don't care for his music or his personality.
Steve Haynie Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Overalls scream "bluegrass"!!! They do not even qualify for Southern Rock, but an early Kansas band photo had Rich Williams in overalls.

The word "fashion" had an entirely different meaning than it did at any other point in the history of this planet.
cmatthes Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Overalls should only be worn if you are a straw-chawin' hillbilly, a house painter, a kids' video game hero or in a Dexy's Midnite Runners tribute band. The last instance should never be allowed to happen, btw.
Russ Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Overalls should only be worn if you are ........ in a Dexy's Midnite Runners tribute band. The last instance should never be allowed to happen, btw. Mountain Dew ALL over my monitor

I own four pairs of overalls. They are comfortable!
sirskelt Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I have not been here in a while.... I realize what I've been missing. You guys crack me up! My boss thanks everyone for the Dr Pepper spewed all over the company's laptop.

Maybe he is an asshole, I've never met him, but he's a good guitar player, his band is funny and they certainly are not a garage band. And you're absolutely right about the snake head Vectors and Standards or whatever they're called, I hate em too.

I was up too late all week after a long weekend of drinking!
zorrow Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Back to the main topic, someone tried at the very last moment to snipe it, but as you can see the reserve price was well above 1K -- he actually proposed me a deal at 2K. So said, 2K might be a fair price from a "collectable" point of view, but for around 1.5K/1.8K I think I could get a Korina Vector around here, which in my opinion is a way better guitar than that. So, sorry but no deal -- I don't like Floyds after all!
