veatch Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Not mine, i've always had good luck at this store, though:Elderly VectorI'm about a two hour drive away, so i can give it a test drive if someone needs it...
atquinn Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Holy crap is that in awesome condition! Where's Zorrow?-Austin
MCChris Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Now how did I miss that one? Very cool, especially for the sustain block trem with the arm!
cmatthes Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Are those the same tuners PRS uses? Nope. Hamer came out with those in the early '80s, prior to PRS going into production. They're called "Hamerlock" tuners, IIRC. Great Vector, btw - looks to be in really nice shape:
Russ Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I'll be sure to post my opinion when she arrives... I was dialing the number before the freaking page finished loading, even had to ask the guy if that price was correct. Now....the wait....the agonizing wait
veatch Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 New it wouldn't take long... Congrats!
David B Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I'll be sure to post my opinion when she arrives...even had to ask the guy if that price was correct. Don't ever ask that, just take the good deal. I never informed dealers that those "Hammers" I was buying were actually Hamers, until after I bought it for $350 either.Congrats!
zorrow Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Well, Zorrow is back here after two days in that Certified Scrum Master training and not wanting to surf the net when arriving home at night. About that Vector, I think it's a GREAT score! Specifically, those 84 Vectors have the chunkiest necks ever. I love them. The tremolo system sucks though, so I don't use mine's. Well man, I was late for this one, but if you ever find it too heavy or if you ever find the neck too thick for your tastes, please let me know.
