I've got a 95 identical to that one. Great guitars, for sure. Here's a bump for a great guitar.

I can't believe I haven't even got an offer on this guitar. It's a sick flametop, plays like a dream, beautiful condition , never f*cked with. Made in the USA..700 bucks...I'll throw in a polishing cloth, what? is it ugly?, too much $$$?, what?

I've noticed that sales have been tough around here lately. That's a nice example of what aztec gold used to look like. Now it's too yellow for my tastes.

Early 90's Hamer always seem hard to sell. There is nothing wrong with the build quality is the necks on most of thoes tend to be on the thin side.

Yeah, that's true but this is a late '93. The neck is a medium for sure, it's bigger than my '91 Sunburst Archtop but smaller than my '05 Standard. It is actually a perfect neck IMO. Anyhow, it is not a skinny one.

Gold hardware is cancer.

You have a really pretty yard!! :)

That's for sale too! 1.4 acres, 3bdrms, 2.5 baths Cape, 2 car garage, lots of grass to mow, asking $398,500.

Colin,

Eight years here on HFC has a conversion rate similar to canine years for Hamer guitar sales and re-sale.

The Special listed for sale in this thread very possibly could have moved through a couple of other HFC buyers in that time frame.

Ok, what is the deal on this guitar?

Is it a real USA Hamer or an import?

If real, no breaks, straight neck, 98.5% fret life remaining, no scratches, only played by a little old lady on Sundays in the Church choir, never drug behind a pickup truck in Texas, electronics original and all work, original mint case, and a bottle of Mezzaluna Vodka, and insured with overnight shipping, then I could offer 475 US Dollars.
