Jason01 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Ok, I've tried this a few times and always seem to re-post something thats already been posted. If so, just delete it but here's another cheap one off craigslist that I saw and thought someone could score. http://youngstown.craigslist.org/msg/1144067052.html

hamerhead Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Well - it arrived today. Came USPS in nothing more than the case with 1 piece of tape wrapped around it - once. Lottsa fresh scuffs and dings. You know what I was expecting when I opened it up, right?Unbelievably, it's WHOLE!!!! I'm in shock. The quick once-over:The guitar itself is pretty decent. In need of a good cleaning, has one ding, and little bubbles all over under the finish. Neck feels nice. Bridge pickup of unknown origin.I'll throw some mojo on it when I get home. Then I'll get some pics posted.

currypowder Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I had the same thing happen with a Robin Ranger. It didn't even have any tape around. Just the case with a USPS label on it. Surprisingly it was in perfect shape. I guess I just can't figure out some people's thought process.Well - it arrived today. mc2 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I had some clown ship me a white early 80s Cruisebass like that too...just in the case with a shipping label. He actually took it to a FedEd Kinkos and THEY shipped it like that.Made it from Brooklyn to Newark and GONE!!Scumbag then put in a FedEx claim and kept the insurance money AND my money....never got a cent back....PLUS it was a newbie on the HFC at the time who listed the bass for sale.He vanished real quick after that.
hamerhead Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Yeah - I really dodged a couple bullets on this one. An unknown seller - from Ohio - who probably never shipped a guitar before. She's even going to refund the difference in shipping, which is pretty cool. I'll count my blessings with this one. It's funny - I had a guy send a Danelectro guitar from California in nothing but the triangle-shaped cardboard guitar box - no case, no padding, nothing - and there wasn't a mark on it. Dumb luck is a wonderful thing.
