MCChris Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 If #8 sounds anything like #10, that's a killer guitar.I wonder if it was cut from the same 100 y/o submerged log.

veatch Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 If #8 sounds anything like #10, that's a killer guitar.I wonder if it was cut from the same 100 y/o submerged log.My understanding is that all of the EM Studios and EM Tallies came from the same wood source - dunno if that was a single log, though...The top on Devnor's does have a lot more figure than on mine.FWIW - These guitars are very difficult to photograph - at least i have problems with it. They look a lot better in person.
BCR Greg Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The top pic is outdoors, at sunset.I took it.Awesome guitar.

BubbaVO Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Beautiful guitar!Does the earthen maple make for a tonal difference?
atquinn Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Beautiful guitar!Does the earthen maple make for a tonal difference? Can't answer that, however, chambered Korina with maple top is not a usual Hamer recipe in the first place. Plus, it has custom pickups. Plus, I don't believe the chambering in it is the usual Artist/Chambered Studio chambered. -Austin
