tgoss Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 I know Hamer's are mention in a few of the coffee table type guitar books that are out there but I think this board is probably one of the greatest sources of knowledge you'll find. And the people here are generous enough to help each other out in some pretty amazing ways.
martin-uk Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Well we know that serial's putting one together,so if you can wait for a great book just wach the board for more info.martin.(sorry to serial steve if i over stepped the mark,i know your very busy and your doing your best and i don't mean to tread on other people's toe's,but i just know the book WILL be fantastic).
cmatthes Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 What I've read of some of Serial's drafts and interviews, it sure will be. Also, the amount of cool pics is really impressive!
iownit4 Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 yes I was looking to purchase a book on the history of hamer guitars the different models neck sizes options etc...
tafkathundernotes Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Oh crap! Now you need to add a chapter on neck carves Steve! I'm eagerly (but patiently) awaiting that book.
edgar_allan_poe Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Did you mean ARE ther any Hamer books? Did you mean there?
DaveL Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 probably not exactly what you're looking forbut you might want to check out the Hamer dvd. you can order it really cheap like $10 delivered... through the Hamer site. go to the top of the screen and click onfactory portal and then features...
serial Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 There is some discussion in my drafts with descriptions of the evolution of some of the models that covers neck carves, but since that was subject to change, it is in there as such. I'd be interested to hear what other additions/information people might find useful.
belikerick Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Did you mean ARE ther any Hamer books? Did you mean there? D'OH! Being a smart ass does offer the occasional backfire.
