atquinn Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Too many guitars coming in and not enough going out! First up is a 2006 Studio Custom GT. The pickups are Lollar P90's (the regular ones, not 50's winds). The original 3-way toggle went wonky so I installed a new one. It's in excellent condition overall. A bit of fretwear in spots on the 1st 3 frets and some light buckle rash on the back (nothing through the finish; you have to tilt the guitar the right way in the light to see it at all). $1150 PayPal'd and shipped. No trades. O.k., well that's not entirely true. I'm still looking for an Artist Custom or chambered Studio Custom with ebony boards and humbuckers. Clearly I'm diseased! Thanks for looking. -Austin PS. Who the hell had dibs on this? Send me a PM if you want it and we'll chat.
Feynman Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 That is so hot. There sure have been some nice guitars for sale lately.
Scottcrud Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Did you get that from Brewmaster? If so, that was mine and is a bad ass guitar.
G Man Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I gotta be honest, I'm curious to see what else your going to pull out of your bag of tricks.
miragejake Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Yeah, what's the more to come gonna look like?
atquinn Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 One of these: Pricing to be circa 1.5K for each, but I have yet to decide which one. -Austin
G Man Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Pricing to be circa 1.5K for each, but I have yet to decide which one. -Austin Well, take your time deciding, but make sure it is this one, but not until I get my tax return back.

Hopefully that one will be staying, but you never know. I'm trying not to think too much about what's next until the GT is gone. - Austin
Pierre07 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 REDWOOD! yssss... gman, mines coming next week, so race you to it btw, whats the neck like on that redwood?(just askin', who knows )
sw686blue Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 How come you're thinking of getting rid of the Melancon? I thought that you really liked that one.
Feynman Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 All you vultures back off and leave the man alone!Buy his GT so he can get on with the business of figuring out which Newport Pro to sell to me. How come you're thinking of getting rid of the Melancon? I thought that you really liked that one. I don't understand the question.
atquinn Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 How come you're thinking of getting rid of the Melancon? I thought that you really liked that one. I do really like that one, but there are no permanent residents in Austin's halfway-house for guitars! Actually, given that it's my only strat-esque guitar, there's a good chance that one will end up staying, but at this point all I've decided on are the ones that definitely aren't going anywhere and the Mel isn't in that small group mostly because it (like the GT) is relatively easy to replace when compared to the ones I am definitely keeping. - Austin
BlueRedWhite Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Lord have mercy!!!!Golden top and P90s...Man..i'm talking tonight to the opposition and i'll PM you if the budget gets approved!
BlaXander Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 REDWOOD! yssss... gman, mines coming next week, so race you to it btw, whats the neck like on that redwood?(just askin', who knows ) I think it's the vintage carve, although, having only my redwood, I don't have any points of comparison
atquinn Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 Yeah, Redwoods have the vintage carve. I don't think Hamer's made a limited edition anything since the vintage carve has been introduced that didn't have a vintage carve. Except for the Triple Threat, which is bigger IIRC.-Austin
Ted Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Austin, You are once again killing me with these Incredible Specimens of Guitar Goodness!!!
