veatch Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 It's spelled piezo, but it's pronounced "Throat Warbler Mangrove". I think the uber technically correct way is "pee YAY dzo", but i always say "PIE zo". No one has laughed at me yet. But then again, most conversations i have about gear will at some point lead to me being the recipient of a snickerish look - you know, the kind that happens when talking to a 4 year old when you're thinking, "Isn't that cute - he's trying to talk with us grown ups!" I also say "REE verb", or "verb squared" when among more geekish folk... Edited to add: I could be wrong, but i think piezo is Italian for "it's pronounced piezo"
kenjones Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I saw a video with Larry Fishman and he pronounced it pee-ay-zo.
Jorge Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 ha,,, and I have always said "pee-e-zo" ,,, the 'e' sounds like the 'e' in 'edit'This.
Caddie Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Isn't that African language "clock" sound in there somewhere? You know the sound, just like a solidly hit baseball. Pee "clock" yay zo. caddie
