Blue Country Heart is such a good disc.  I saw Jorma play it almost entirely opening for Phil Lesh and friends and he finished the opening set, and I walked to the concession stand and bought the cd on the spot.  It's often on rotation in my car..

Lost in the darkness

I fade from the light

Faith of my father, my brother, my Maker and Savior

Help me make it through the night

Blood on my conscience

And murder in mind

Out of the gloom I rise up from my tomb into impending doom

Journey was a big part of my high school days. We were 2 hours south of the Bay area. I would often come home after school, put on my Koss headphones through a Marantz receiver and listen to that whole album!

My wife and I are heading on a 5 week cross country road trip to see Journey in Sacramento, CA and visit friends and family along the way. Will see Tommy Emmanuel 2 nights after that.

Nice!.. That sounds like a great road trip... I grew up in Daly City, right down the street from the Cow Palace... at the time, the Bay Area was such a cool place to live with an epic music scene... I was so fortunate to be able to see TONS of concerts!.. great memories~ wishing you and your wife a very fun and safe road trip 😃

Yep, saw so many shows there, a few at SF civic center (Kiss with Motley Crue opening etc) and who could forget the awesome Day on the Greens?!!!

But, I never saw Journey. But did see a ton of Y&T shows!

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom, let it be

And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me

The first album I bought with my own money. That was after amassing a good pile of 45s which I still have and spin from time to time.

The first album my parents bought me was Red Rose Speedway from Paul McCartney and Wings (later usually called Wings). If any of you ever saw the multi-page full size booklet within then you'll know that it was quite stimulating for a young kid to see.

The people wanted beauty and prettiness and all
So they stretched and they dressed and they made up
And put mirrors on every wall
Till they all went blind from eyestrain
From the thing they wanted most
Now everybody's so isolated
A good-looking bunch of ghosts
