Bennyboy-UK Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I led to believe that it's not uncommon for GC to be found wanting in matters of things to do with guitars...
Never2Late Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Well, how about a SOLID list of details about the instrument: condition, and whatnot....
Hamerica Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 The Monaco III was dropped and suffered a break at the neck. I was interested before someone dropped it. Oh well. "Guitar center says its definitely a Korina Standard."I don't know who at GC is claiming that but they need to go back to Tone wood class 101 and get re-certified. That is Mahogany on any day and since its Sunday it is Mahogany twice on Sunday. Hamerica
django49 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Nah......Look at the COA........It is a Korina Standard that was custom ordered with an upgrade/upcharge to genuine mahogany.Or, at least, that is what I would expect someone at GC to say.

sonny o'hoolighan Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 The Monaco III was dropped and suffered a break at the neck. I was interested before someone dropped it. Oh well. Sounds like quite a few of us had inquired about that Monaco at one time or another. I remember asking for pics once. The manager emailed me back and said something along the lines of "this guitar has a cracked neck at the headstock. Do you still want pics?"
Hbom Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 What ever happened to this one?Bambino?Anybody?
deadringer Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 It was on their site a day or two ago, but then disappeared again. Hopefully someone didn't buy it thinking it was Korina.
Never2Late Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Huh - I was waiting for the OP to provide an honest, thorough description of the instrument to see if someone would make an honest offer on it, but that information never came.....
bambino68 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I apologize, I thought that since it was not I carina standard it was not worth that dollar amount therefore I returned it. It was heavy had some Hamer right is it the next joint had some chunks taken out of the body.I'm happy to contact them and find out if it's still available and get you in touch with them. They do ship.
