Double NGD (kind of)

It is time to confess my sins, I think.

Two beauties came in lately - one two hours ago. Maybe you remember the modded Newport that was sold to Feynman (Mitch, still in the Phoenix area?) in spring. The guitar ended with Carfish7, who remembered me calling dibs on that one (and who didn't miss to send me some goodies from Minnesota. KUDOS!!).

So please, say hello to Scarlett:

A great guitar, and after restringing her she sounded like - well, like anything you want. Of course I am not through with all the options the wiring and the PUs give me, but she does it all - clean to gain, great overtones. Fantastic!!

If you are interested: More pics and specs here in the first "to sell"-thread.

And then there was Tonemonster58 who sold of a Artist Custom with - what was ist called, BCR Greg Burst? - anyway, with a stunning burst on a stunning top and with Bonamassa PUs. Came in two month ago, but I didn't celebrate NGD here because I had to change the input jack. Now she plays and sounds extremely good, and leaves me with the question: Do I need two Artist Customs? My wife (!!!) says: Yes. Who am I to dispute?

Very nice! The new car arrived and drives quite comfortable. Now it needs to find a weekend schedule to visit Hof. B)

Bad assed guitars, both of them!

Both Beauties Daniel! Congratulations!

I was a couple of hours behind you in snagging that BCR Artist. Dragged my feet too long. Ended up with a Newport instead (wanna trade, next time you come to Canada? ;) ), and then bought Tonemonster's Special HB w/p90s, which is a Tonemonster itself! I have not shared that NGD yet either. Your posting here is a nice reminder!

Enjoy your new guitars!

Oh, and your wife rules!

She sure does! But I guess she won't allow me to bring a guitar over for a trade when we come to Canada next year... :-)

Ha! We'll see. Time changes everything...

I do love my Newport though. Just the top on that Artist is beautiful and is exactly the same as my Studio Custom otherwise (my first Hamer and the prototype for perfect feel in my books)

I think I used to own that AC. It had Rios when I owned it. Nice one, had the most beautiful feedback capabilities of any guitar I've played.

Daniel, maybe we should ask the reason of the wifes ? In all cases, congratulations for you, both are great....

Dibs on "Scarlett", should you ever decide to move her along!

Congrats on 2 beauties too!

Gilles, I think it is simple, When I was into model trains (I was, yes...) my wife was like "Go and build some models, thit keeps you away from other wimen..."

Next time could you take the photos while holding the guitars directly in front of the sun?

Feynman, I am sorry, I know that Hipstamatic could be, well, at least ugly. Then again in the region we live the last snow melts in August and we call it summer when the sun shines longer than an hour... :-) So I want the guitars to enjoy this, too.
