I ran into this:

It appears to be well-made, but I was curious.

Gary Levinson is an American working/building guitars in Switzerland! He is an exceptional designer/builder and I work (sometimes) for the biggest UK retailer/supplier of Blade guitars! They are exceptional instruments...

They really aren't a "thing" in the USA.

I only see or hear of them in UK mags.

Well, they should be = they are amazing!

I had one long ago that I took as a partial trade on a amp I was selling......................very nice guitars as far as sound and very well built. Obscure instruments around these parts [uSA] though,

I thought MF use to carry them for a brief time. They always looked cool to me.

They did do some US magazine ad runs around that period, and around the same time one of my local shops picked up two of them to test the market. They were GREAT guitars from what I remember, I mean nice compared to that era's Fender stuff, but they were wallflowers because no one knew what they were, they were not cheap, and they were basically upper-tier SSS non-locking-trem strat clones in a market that at that time wanted superstrats with Floyds, hot humbuckers.

I wish I would have picked one up (they were not only very nice but the store ended up blowing them out NOS to open the wall space) but knowing me I would have carved it up for - you guessed it - a Floyd and hot humbuckers haha.

I played one in a local shop a couple years back. It buried pretty much every Fender Strat I've ever test drove. Impressed the hell out of me.

If I was to go for a pure Strat, I'd choose a Levinson over a Fender.
