WorstBandName Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Hamer/MONACO-III-Hollow-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc Throwing this up there. Seems like a decent price on one of these compared to other prices I've seen. Too bad it's 25.5 inch scale or I would have grabbed this one.
bubs_42 Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 The 25.5 Scale is what makes the Monaco a Monaco. You should try it, you may never go back.
shankyboy Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Price seems a little steep but I haven't paid much attention to the prices since Covid. Ditto what Bubs said. The Monaco is a fantastic guitar. You would be blown away if you played it. Out of all my Hamer guitars, the Monaco sees the most stage time.
VincentYGB Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 It's been there a few months and returned at least twice....so far.
fractal Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 I think that's about what I paid for mine new last decade.

How the hell would anyone ever know it's the same guitar with their ridiculous microscopic poor quality I'm too stupid to take a half decent picture photos?

Dutchman Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I've been watching this one and it seems to be a bad penny or the emits some form of buyers remorse!

Steve Haynie Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 That is near me and DaveH. One of us needs to go check it out to figure out why someone would return it.

VincentYGB Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 I screenshot GC ads that peak my interest and lots of those sell quick. Sometimes I pull the trigger on a returned one but usually find there's a good reason it made it's way back. Last week GC resold the Standard FM with cracked headstock I returned assuring a "repair order" would be filed. Heard that same line a month ago after UPS ran over a G&L, the box was in pieces, 1 foot of the case smashed, snapped the selector switch and took such a hard hit three frets each cracked out small pieces from the side of the fingerboard. Customer care had me return the guitar and not file a UPS claim- it was resold the next day in same "great" condition. For years I'd return about 1 out of 3 but in this Covid-year it's up to 2 out of 3. Just bought a Yamaha SA800 Hollowbody in "excellent" condition so this should be the good one. 🤣
Steve Haynie Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 I looked again. That Monaco III is not near me. They can ship it to the store near me.
