I’d hit it.

For the price you will be OK.  But...

The bass should have a case, though.  Fixing that place with the broken screw stuck in the wood where there used to be a strap knob will be annoying.

Try making an offer.

Is it just my bad eyesight, or is the nut NOT sitting flat/flush against the neck?

Also not liking that the seller says that the original Schaller bridge is a BadAss model bridge (it ain't).  IIRC, the bass should have had DiMarzio PUs as original, if it's an '82.  I can't quite tell if these pickups are EMGs or simply unmarked generics.  Either way, does this mean that they're active PUs, and if so, what kind of mods were done with the wiring, including housing a 9-volt battery? (Correction: auction text says they're passive, my bad! :P)Questions, questions, questions...

I would be a little leery of this one, personally.  I have never heard of passive EMGs before.

Look at these battlescars.  The inside of the headstock contour looks like it was attacked with a cheese grater!  I would hold out for one with a case.  I got a Cruisebass with case right here on this forum last year for $750... thanks again, Eli!

Great price! If I didn’t already have a CB2, this one would already be heading my way. Since I am not really a bassist, I really don’t need more than one. But damn.
