MCChris Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 No price is too low to make it worthwhile to play an Epiphone.

cynic Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Has this ever really been a legit problem for anyone? Updated hardware that solves an age-old problem Patented in 1954, McCarty's tune-o-matic bridge allowed players to fine-tune the intonation of each string. Paired with a stopbar tailpiece, it's a super-stable combo—until you change the strings. Then, nothing holds them in. With Epiphone's LockTone system, you won't have to dig around dark stages searching for a stray bridge or stopbar—they won't fall off.

Well, smart guy, have you ever tried changing a complete set of strings while on stage? In the dark? Have you ever fallen down in the snow and got kicked? In the head? With an iron boot??

Again with the fantasy-land stuff. The vast majority of guitar nerds (especially BAMFs who are settling for Epiphones) aren't playing on any stage -- dark, well-lit, or otherwise.

kizanski Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 Always gets the laugh. Always. I wonder what he got paid to sell his soul. I know what I got paid for mine. Pretty fair price considering I wasn't using it.

The crippling shame of even holding an Epiphone is more than enough to send someone with decades of sobriety careening into relapse.
