At the time that I bought my 1990 Chapparal Elite 90 guitar from an E-bay seller in Nashville, he also offered his Californian guitar with the hologram skull inlaid into the body finish. I think MikeC shot the second one; he did some great photos of my gear many moons ago. The neck is stamped 922--- so it's an 89 s/n and signed by Jim O'Conner and dated 1990. I've made only one mod to these: a Schaller LockMeister in place of the Hamer stamped Floyds in the maple Cali (which I might add, I've swapped back to). And the same for the double neck Cali. Or... thinking of routing the pickup cavity to accept a Gravelin HB, possibly a triplebucker, strip the back of the neck and oil finish it, strip the front of the head stock and refin it to match the body and replace the volume pot with a kill switch pot.
