Changed tuners, changed bridge (probably for the better if it was done correctly), non-original case.

Paging hamerhead?

…and it needs frets.

The weight is good, though.

It might be a monster player. $1200 is a bit pricey for what's there and what it needs, IMO.

Hell I have a T-51 neck (or a Daytona neck. I can't remember...) here somewhere. I should just build a FrankensT-51 and call it a day.

Well, I have the perfect partner for that neck: Hamer Daytona / Fender Stratocaster Neck Electric Guitar - Used

Buy the guitar, sell the Fender neck, thank me later.

But...wasn't the neck pocket on a Daytona cut different, like a Telecaster? Wouldn't it have to be rounded out to fit a Strat neck correctly? Or am I on drugs.....again....

Well in your prior post, you didn’t know if it was a Daytona or a T-51 neck.
Maybe we should start there.

The T-51 and Daytona use the same neck heel shape - unless I am mistaken - which is the more squared-out Telecaster shape. The Strat neck heel would be more rounded and not fit in the Tele-type pocket on a Daytona correctly. Again - I may be out to lunch on that, but that's how I always understood it.

Well......no.......not yet, anyways.....

ETA: I need somebody here to confirm or deny my accusations about the neck butt and pocket shape, then I'll call. Maybe.

Thank you, Zen!!

So, if they didn't hack into the pocket of the BCR Frankentona, it might be a smart buy.

What do you mean "might be"?

What's the Fender neck worth (I have no idea)?

It's a 1990 (I think) USA Fender neck with tuning machines.  It has to be worth a couple of hundred bucks.

Call 'em up and work a better deal outside of Reverb on the $899 price tag (or even tell them to just sell you the body).
