Glue in Cali... when lights hit it, jumped to life. Almost black in indirect light

There's no real movement in it, but the way light hits it makes it stunning for sure. My all-time favorite opaque finish.

Cool guitar! I have a 1990 Chaparral Elite 90 with the same iridescent finish/boomerang inlays. I bought mine from a seller on E-bay located in Nashville. He also had a Hamer Callifornian with a holoskull finish on the body & boomerang inlays. He wanted me to buy it. I just had enough money to buy the Chaparral Elite 90 at the time and I had to turn him down on the Californian Elite. 😞

  Someone got a nice Chaparral Elite with a Sustainiac and boomerang inlays!

Hm...17-18 years ago? I think I was the one who bough it. Any chance you remember if  the case had any specific markings on it?

It was a HFC'er form the Chicago Area.

You should definitely give them a try, OBLs are really really nice, they sound fantastic split also
