I got pics, but not the Talladega; it was a beautiful guitar.

I was on the fence as the price seemed almost too good.

The seller seemed OK, he was a plesant guy to exchange emails with.

That would be the decent thing to do right?

As I was interested. And I did make a trade offer that got rejected but I couldn't do the cash offer at this juncture - wouldn't have been prudent.

However my understanding is that - though they sound intriguing on paper - the combination of set neck, sustain block, 25.5 scale, tele influenced body shape, chambers, mahogany with maple capped body, maple neck, and tele switching don't really work out in practice and players get bored of them rather quickly. In fact, the time required to tire of Talladegas is about the same time it takes for my USA Reverend to sell over on TGP .

So, I should be ready to take that guitar off your hands any time now.

This is actually true. I had one very briefly and h-a-t-e-d it.

I was convinced that it was the reason that Jol got fired.

He's just lucky he wasn't also assaulted in the process.

While you make a great case (with quite the ulterior motive!), I'm still REALLY liking mine four months later.

That's a ridiculously good price. I bought mine in January and helped another HFCer purchase one here in Austin and we both paid a LOT more than that.

My opinion.......I like them. But I am easy....... I do not know the numbers, but the relatively few made would tend to suggest it will be harder to find one "cheap" that it would a model like the Artist, for example.

The stock pickups may not be what you want if you only have one guitar. But I think it should find a place in an "arsenal". Also tried out one with upgraded (WCR) pickups. No doubt a more well rounded guitar for "playing out" when so equipped. if not quite as "unique".

And, how often do you get to say, "My baby has Double Ds"?

I really like mine. It's even changed a few preferences if I get another guitar custom built for me. Some don't like the neck, I think it's the best I've ever played. The sharp V gives me another reference point for how my hand is positioned, and I find it's very comfortable for those of us sporting the arthritis.

I'm still planning to swap the bridge pickup for a humbucker, but otherwise it's a very comfortable, great playing/sounding guitar.

Don got mine. I couldn't handle the neck. I kind of loved the guitar otherwise. I did put in humbuckers and a 3-way switch.

I'd probably do the same thing, which would defeat the purpose of getting one and not a Tally Pro instead.

I played Bruce's Tally at the Frozen Jam a few months ago and while I didn't hate it, the pickups and neck profile would never work for me or my style.

I dropped a humbucker in the bridge and kept everything else the same. Fantastic guitar and all y'all who don't like them, well I don't know what to think about you...
