  2. I do not think the pickups and bridge are what you think they are.
  3. Today
  4. Ordered the 76 right after receiving the newsletter. Even if the shipping to Dschermanie sucks.
  5. Isn't that worth buying just for the pickups and bridge?
  6. And also rosewood fretboard is not for boomers imo
  7. Not something you see every day..........................and that's a good thing.
  8. https://lovepedalcustomeffects.myshopify.com/ I feel like it's been a few years since there were prices this low on anything from LP so sharing in case

  10. I’ve got an order in with Dave at FOTN right now, actually…
  11. The Korina with Bokmers was sold through Elduave’s Rocketeria. Alan Day ran the Music & Arts nearby and rejected it, so Dave got dibs and as I recall, a local non-playing doctor in the Olney, MD area bought it. Seems like the same dude selling it now for more than twice what he bought it for new.
  12. Mike actually showed me how to play that correctly 20 years ago waiting backstage (Ron B. is a longtime family friend/sorta member) before the opener went on - with a little Supro guitar and amp. This was well before the proliferation of YouTube and still early MySpace days…he showed me that third triplet that every cover band Fs up, and it was somewhat life-changing! 😂
  13. Yesterday
  14. Nope, some came with Sustain Block Trems, Kahlers, Floyd's, TOM's
  15. How hard is it to read the gigantic letters on the headstock?
  16. As much as I love boomers, they look wrong to me on that Korina vector. Very cool guitar nonetheless.
  17. Apparently these aren't getting any cheaper. If only I had unlimited funds ... Boomers in Maryland! https://reverb.com/item/97847378-2007-hamer-usa-korina-vector-flying-v-custom-shop-58-gibson-specs? SoCal, So Cool: https://reverb.com/item/96218338-hamer-korina-v-1998-translucent-red? There's also a red KK Downing, an 82 sustain block for $1500 (in Ukraine w/neck repair etc), 81 Sunburst w/Sustain Block, (I don't know, did all these have sustain blocks?) and several more ...
  18. https://reverb.com/item/98733489-hamer-slamer-sp-1f-tp-1990s The illiteracy cuts both ways, apparently.
  19. We play that every gig. Picked up some pointers
  20. This "Wind" you speak of, is that the noun or the verb?
  21. Love that song! Oh yeah, alright Take it easy baby Make it last all night She was an American girl 🤘
  22. If you are over (fill in the blank), don’t sweat changing string gauge or neck size. There only used to be Black Diamond strings at the drug store! There is a long list of great players with varied string preferences. My left hand started bothering me about 2 years ago. The following things seem to have helped me - Noticed how and how long I hold my iPad. Same could be said if you use the computer keyboard a lot. I think this helped me more than I would have guessed. Retire. Stress relief and providing time to take care of yourself. Exercise. Doesn’t have to be hand or wrist related. Resistance training builds strength and tone of the forearms and wrists. There are two older books that provide slow weight training methods. Only exercise once a week, maybe twice, and keep moving otherwise. “The Slow Burn Fitness Revolution” and “The Power of Ten”. Easy on the joints, not likely to injure yourself. I’m probably in as good shape as I was 20 years ago when I was doing it regularly. Restarted almost 2 years ago, I’ll be 69 in September. Eat a somewhat healthy diet. That and exercise allowed me lose weight since retirement. My A1C, etc is great. Eating stuff with lots of refined sugar makes me feel blah. Alcohol included, so I don’t drink so much. Play regularly. I can still feel some stiffness and soreness on occasion. From not playing regularly or from a flurry of playing a lot. But things improved as I started to play more. Monday night acoustic jam, Tuesday night band practice, Thursday Open Mic (acoustic) and weekend gigs more often than not. As far as meds, I rarely take a NSAID or Tylenol, usually for other body pain. Cannabis can help, side effects well known and often desirable. I have found I don’t play as well live using it - save an occasional one drink at the start of the night, I stay straight when I gig. Can wind down when I git home. My state has medical and I have a card. @gorch has a book on Reflexology on Amazon, there is a post. Didn’t try it, but almost got it. May get it anyway. Many of us are getting to an age where lots of physical things can happen. It is a bit of luck and genetics in play. I am doing what I can as long as it works.
  23. Exactly. Jardiance users are almost thrilled to have Type 1 Diabetes. Look at this clown's face. He couldn't be happier to have "that sugar."
