I've finally turned a corner and have embraced the big carves. So much so that I'm prepping my CS R0 for sale. I just got used to, ya know, PLAYING my Tokai LP Std with a '59 carve. I have always been 60's Gibson-carve kinda guy, admittedly not really, "getting it", when It comes to '59+ necks. Even my Crews Strat has a bigger carve than any I've owned, and I can get around on it just fine. Now, I feel that I can play most necks, barring something that is stupidly big. Hell, if Paul Kossoff could wrap his tiny Hobbit claws around a 'Burst, then why the hell can't I? Anyway, back to the Tokai... 2019 Tokai LC220S BB. Neck is about .92-94". All stock. Pickups sound great, with good (not hot) output. Gotoh hardware. The quality of workmanship/materials is first class all the way. Lacquer finish, ebony board/pearl inlays and binding work are perfect. Maple top, mahogany body/neck. Weight is a hair over 10lb. Yes, a bit chonky, but it's an LPC. The recent, two-tone Gibson LPC seem to hover around that weight and are $4999 new. Got it from a very reputable MIJ shop in Canada. He was great to work with, accepted my offer without hesitation and shipped. The only snag is my asshole neighbors let the box sit outside our front door on the ONLY 96deg we've had this year. Dicks. Anyway, enough of my yakkin'. Lets boogie:

Gibson spec fret wire. It's in between 6105 to 6100 jescar. Its a healthy size fret.

Oh, and congrats on the new guitar! And doing the right thing. Both are pretty great.

I dunno - the other one was awfully pretty: I'm with Cary - at first blush it's 'hell yeah' and then the stupid old conscience takes over and you go and do the right thing. Karma is real, but damn....

25.5” scale. Gibson style construction with fender scale and vintage vibrato bridge. Best of both worlds. The Mirage II’s have a thicker body than the I’s along with the non-blended heel. Gives them a bit more of a LP feel where the I has more of a beefy Strat feel.

Spruce top, clean fret board for the win.

Cool (blue), maple top over mahogany but l can’t remember, are these 25” scale length ? If so, it’s a long scale Les Paul in disguise. GLWTS, I hope this one stays in the family.

Amazing deal! Absolutely beautiful 1959 R9 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst Custom, check the serial number for the production year, 932033. If you know, then you know this is one of the best production years for the R9. The neck is tapered perfectly to fit one's hand around. Look around on the best forums, and you'll see people arguing about the best production years, but most agree this model was the best year in recent history until you get back to the actual 1950s! Comes with original brown leather case with purple plush interior. It's in excellent condition, no dings or scratches that damage the paint - the only wear and tear marks are on the headstock from string changes, as well as some unnoticeable marks that you wouldn't see unless you held a flashlight up to the specific areas near the knobs. It sings when plugged into any amp - but pairs the best with Fender Reverb's and Mesa Boogie's in my opinion. I wish I didn't have to part with it, as I love it more than any of my other guitars, but so it goes - so I'm trying to give it's new owner an incredible deal, I will do $4,200 Shipped.
