  2. That's a great price... I searched my local FB marketplace but cheapest was $400 😒
  3. Always been a fan of Andy Fuchs. Did not NEED another example, but one of his ODH amps popped up in a head format at a very fair price. In essence, it is an ODS amp in a lightweight package, That is, a D style tube preamp with a solid state power amp, weighing very few pounds. And, with a footswitch for channel selection and boost (EQ bypass), very versatile. Makes 150 watts at 8 ohms, 300 at 4 ohms. So, naturally, I had to come up with an enclosure to "match" some cabs. Vented for cooling. Thought you might appreciate the idea....The one 1 x 12 has a Copperback 250 watt Neo speaker (Barefaced style), the other is a "stylized" 1 x 10 Thiele type cab, with a 100 watt speaker (Added wings make it wide enough to mate with a head or other cab while maintaining Thiele internal dimensions). And a shop built 2 piece Atlas style tilt back set. Makes for a huge sounding setup with minimal weight. Quick and dirty pix..... Yeah, I do have too many toys.......😉

  6. Wondering if there are any hfc members around Junction City Oregon that could help me get this intake manifold, this would be perfect on my new old 1975 Corvette, but he is apparently unwilling to ship.. I would of course pay for the manifold and the shipping to 55109, Pirate Bay should be a good deal.. let me know if you can help! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2362140797609530/
  7. Previously there were a couple things on the site map of the main page such as links to wiring diagrams and serial number information. Those are no longer available. Is it possible to readd them? Thanjs for the revamp!!!! 😎👍❤️🏁
  8. You haven't seen my latest driver's license pic.
  9. I thoroughly enjoy watching all the Lady Fralin videos... Very interesting and informative...
  10. I remember them being on the Duke Nuke’m soundtrack.
  11. AI = All Imitation.
  12. Great topic. I wish my answer was more cool like what's above... : / Mine was this. Lots of lame on this thing, but it did have some gems - Long Cool Woman and All the Young Dudes if I recall. In my defense, my brother talked me into it. I was 5 at the time...
  13. I agree. I can't remember not knowing how to read, and I'm one of those people who can remember unusually far back. While I know I probably couldn't read going back to my very first memories because I don't see how I that's possible (my first memories are around 25-months old), I do clearly remember reading Golden Books to myself by the time I was three. My parents happily poured gas on that fire, and it is probably one of the most important things they did for me. Funnily enough, I really didn't know much about the Imagination Library other than that is was a thing Dolly did, but I'm going to start contributing to that monthly. My GF is a child psychologist, and she and I were talking the other day about how huge it is for kids to learn to read early and, hopefully, learn to enjoy it. She noted that just having books around and reading to your kids regularly does quite a bit of the heavy lifting because young children pick things up so quickly just through exposure. I also see how important it is when they get to me after high school. My students who enjoy reading are generally just better at critical thinking and learning independently. She really was an amazing person and kind of the platonic ideal of an American in a lot of ways.
  14. 11 year old kid and loved the look of this cover. Sly and the Family Stone. There's a Riot going on. Led to me like funk and bass. Bought at a Ben Franklin Five and Dime store.
  15. When I was young, I had a lot of albums that were given to me from various family members, but with my own money I purchased KISS Alive
  16. Yes, I meant that since her the husband's recent passing, she was probably too weak to fight to cancer.
  17. I bought a used copy of Kiss Alive 2 at a flea market for a few dollars of my own money. I was probably in the 3rd or 4th grade.
  18. What was the first album you ever bought? For me (I was 13), it was this one:
  19. I think there is much to be said for analog catalogues, books, records, libraries....maybe we will reconsider these in the eye of AI 🫥
  20. I put up a picture of Nick Lowe on Instragram. With a Hamer 8 string bass. I had the jpg on my drive for some time. Don't remember where I found it. I thought it looked very clean. And after I posted it I zoomed in on some details, the fingers etc and I began to wonder if it was AI. Then I though perhaps someone just processed it, to clean it from grain. Over processing can give an unnatural clean look. Then someone commented that it looked like AI. So I ran the picture through a checker and the outcome was that it was probably AI. I get very annoyed and worried by shit like this. Our history will be all fxcked up by falsifications from AI. How will we know what is reality. How will our children and grandchildren know. Any historical photo could be all made up. Every past event can be altered with. This past weekend I started watching a youtube vid about Def Leppard. Illustrated by stills. The voice over mentioned guitarist 'Phil Collins' then a still came up with Phil Collins, playing a guitar in the studio, dressed as a member of Def Leppard. I realised I was watching AI slop. No humans involved in that video. Turned it off on the spot. I feel shitty for being fooled that the picture of Lowe was real. The Hamer bass looked very much like his old bass. just needed to vent this and say that I'm sorry that I put that shit up on Insta.
  21. I read she died of cancer? That was discovered quite recently. Very sad that she is gone. It put on her bluegrass album yesterday on my way to work. This was the last track. Felt like a catharsis.
  22. Yes. A former member here bought it back in 2015, and then sold it last year.
  23. Not so much a fan of her music, but I loved her as a human being. Just incredible, and she WILL be missed by millions.
  24. I ended up using a toothbrush and a shop vac to take off the first layer, then some Simple Green followed by a damp cloth. I gave it a light coat of Armor All to finish it off. Worked great and houses this: It's a '64/'65 Hagstrom II. It's had a refin but cleaned up pretty nice. WTF is that foot?? And of course I didn't get a picture of the case. Dumbass. It was my buddy's first guitar, so I made it playable for him again.
