hamersandstrats Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Here it is folks. The seller has assured me that he will let this auction run its course. We shall see. Until then, i am the high bidder, so back off all you behind the scenes back stabbers! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
cmatthes Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 $10 says that it won't run the full course. We will also never hear back from the seller once it's been sold!
peedenmark7 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 only 15 mins from me.... oh boy !truck warming up... nervous hands...speeding....just kidding...I agree this will end early...might have to call on bubba and stinky to pull some after hours shinanigans...
sw686blue Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Until then, i am the high bidder, so back off all you behind the scenes back stabbers! Might be fun to put in bids just to boost the price!
peedenmark7 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 come on ...no need for games online...just buy it now offline !!!so many sellers claim an auction will run its course, that is until they see the auction isnt moving fast enough and a few crazy offers have been tabled.......then poof its on it way overseas.......its probably gotten pretty stupid behind the scenes already....I was curious who did the refret but havent heard back... theres some lousy fret guys in milwaukee...I love the burst color on this though, it looks like one of my '78 sunbursts...but dots, refret, non original case, moved strap button, changed pickups ?... sheeez and it will still fetch retardo-money.I'd think BCR's dot before this one.... other than the added switch, that ones supposed to be pure playing heaven... and it has an original case which is huge.uuughh.. I better get moving if I am gonna beat the rush hour traffic to go buy this damn thing.... I wanna strip it and refin it dayglo zulu this weekend... was thinking of adding a kahler too.!!!!!!!!!again kidding....
BCR Greg Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Yeah, buy mine.It kills. The switch was a coiltap on a chinese humbucker, but now has an original 1980 pickup with a phase switch, so the stock "Peter Green" sound or Duane Allman's tone are possible....

BTMN Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Think I'll go restring my '78 and give it a lil love after seeing this crazy stuff.
serial Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I still have an original four digit case that I'd be willing to swap for a red-lined Phantom case! No one's home in that one currently.
formula73 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Think I'll go restring my '78 and give it a lil love after seeing this crazy stuff. I HATE YOU. Not really, but I'll say it like I mean it, especially after I see that thing. YOU SON OF A BITCH.
BTMN Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Pish Tosh! That from the guy who owns The Punisher!!!! :D

Riffmonger Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I finally wised up and got me some sniping software. Ah'll be back!!No you won't! He blocked your eBay ID from bidding, beause you exposed his reserve and retracted your bid.
hamersandstrats Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Yes, I see he posted some crap on another thread as well. His loss, not mine-another one will come around.

hamersandstrats Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Its still on eBay. If you got it, congrats.
kizanski Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 "Q: I have a MINT Washburn USA Custom Shop P4 (CT4) Cherry burst, AAA maple top on mahogany. Nuno Bettencourt modified Les Paul, locking Schaller tuners, zero fretwear, ebony fretboard w/MOP teardrop inlays, lots of MOP inlay on headstock with Custom Shop Logo, USA Custom Shop hand wound Peter Biltoft P90 creme pickups, Buzz Feiten tuning system. Original deluxe Washburn USA Custom Shop case. ZERO FRETWEAR condition, I paid $2,499 for it. I'd swap you EVEN for the Hamer Std USA model. Please let me know - Thanks. Send me your email address if interested. A: No thanks. I'm not looking for trades, I have too many guitars now..."That's a lot more polite than I would have been. As Serial once said to me, "That sounds like a good deal...for ONE of them..."Might as well have offered the mandatory $350.
peedenmark7 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 kiz, send me the hemi GMP and go for that standard... I think the sellers has been pretty honest and upfront , he's told us theres been a refret which most wouldnt even think twice about hiding... I do know the guy that did the refret...

Agreed (about the seller's apparent honesty, that is). The glass-is-half-empty guy in me is still waiting for the "This auction has ended early" tag at the top of the page, though. I know you want the HEMIBIRD (how many times do I have to tell you: it's ALWAYS spelled IN CAPS!), but it wouldn't get me half way there, even if I did want to go for it. Anyway, the guitar is worth more to me then a 4 digit is worth to most others.
