Since we're not getting any younger

Yeah, there is another issue that I've had to deal with - sleep apena. Anybody else stapping themselves up at night to a machine that makes you sound like Lord Vader? -
Since we're not getting any younger

I haven't lost my hair, it has just migrated to my shoulders and back I suppose the thinning doesn't trouble in the least, but grey certainly does. I fear losing my ability to think and to remember, and I fear losing mobility. -
got rosin on the bow?

Should I spring for the Korina?

I like Korina because of its weight. As I have gotten older, weight has gotten to be a much more important consideration. You will not be getting any younger . . . -
Disappointed with Cream at RAH DVD
m chops replied to HamerHokie's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
but getting back to the topic of this thread . . . I was a little disappointed - the performance seemed to lack some fire. I preferred the 2d disc to the first. I think I like Jack Bruce's voice a little better now. It wasn't as strong, but it is fuller. I guess that naturally comes with age, except in Ian Anderson's case. I enjoyed watching the DVD's and glad I spent the money on them, rather than buying a ticket! -
Made it home a bit ago. Man, am I tired. I'm getting too old for this foolishness. Chris, thanks ever so much for hosting this. I will definately try and make the next one. As I was jockying cars this afternoon, Rock Steady came on the radio. I will have it learned for next time. To all that were there, it was good to meet you all. This board is a community, it is wonderful to get to know you as a person, rather than just through your posts. Butcher, thanks for driving yesterday. While the rest of them were crammed into Chris's van, we were cruisin' in style, and what a glorious day to be cruisin'!!! This has been a great mini-vacation for me, and something I really needed. Again, thanks to all of you.

Perhaps considered a sacrilage, but I put a set in my Korina Vector. I really like 'em. I am just not a humbucker kind of guy, so this suits me just fine.

Matt, Is the site designed for use with IE only? In Firefox I get part of the way through the sample lessons and it hangs up. Thanks.

A 3 hole duotone. And I broke ranks and customed ordered a G&L ASAT. (But only because Hamer doesn't make T-51s anymore.) Bruce, I understand the orange thing.

Wow!!! I just worked through the intro up to the sign up page. If I only knew I had the descipline . . .

Pretty quite day - got some client work done, and a bunch of administrative stuff done. But the sun is out in Cleveland and I'm leaving a little early and going to take a walk before it gets dark. I expect tomorrow will be real quite at the office!

Need some cleaning advice pleeb!!

I had a 4003 for a while - don't recall the year. It was in pristine condition. But it had a soft finish on the neck and yes, it did get sticky. I believe that is a "known" issue with some 4003s. -

Nothing so elegant - an Echotone, soon followed by a 95 Studio.

I don't know that I can really answer your question for you, in comparing gibsons to Hamers. Many on this board wil tell you that they are at least equal to, and many more will say superior to, gibsons. But then again, this is a pretty partisan crowd. Purportedly fit, finish, and construction on an USA Hamer is superior. I had an ES-335 and an import Echotone. My ears told me the Echotone sounded better. My ego told me the 335 was better. Listen to your ears. I've got a Korina Jr. - the one with a single P-90. It is surprisingly versatile for a single p/u guitar. But I do like a neck p/u. If I didn't have 8 years of college tuition to pay for , I'd be looking for a Korina Artist with P-90s. And I know there P-90 specials out there with 2 p/u, though most are mahogany, not korina.
