Dare I say Phantom GT-esque? Pickguard is awful and those pickups undoubtedly suck. So I voted nay.

Recently I finally got around to trying out the Tremoverb head I bought from Bubs at the Minneapolis Jam in April. I was pretty disappointed with the High-Gain modes, both Vintage and Modern. WAY too much compression. The Clean and Blues modes are terrific. Reminded me why I prefer single channel amps: I don't see the point of having multiple modes at my disposal if several of them are unusable to me.

Or Gibson's. Because from across a dark, smokey bar, I think it could be confused with the EVH pattern.

Something else that was lacking on the "reunion" tour: enough people who refused to buy tickets, thereby letting the VH brothers know that this type of bullshit isn't acceptable. But when the sheep can't resist filling arenas because DLR is back on the mic ("normally I wouldn't go but I really wanted my kids to see this" blah blah blah) is it any wonder that these assholes think they can continue to be asshats and get away with it?

There's precedent for this maneuver: Sharon Osbourne removed Daisley and Kerslake's contributions to Blizzard and Diary and had them re-recorded for future pressings/digital files of those releases.

Doubtful. Sure, cutting Mike's performances out of the video game versions will keep him from getting those residuals, but wasn't all of the songwriting during the Roth era (and the Hagar era as well) credited to all four members? I'd like to see how EVH plans to prevent Michael Anthony from collecting on long-published work credited in part to him.

I sat next to a stark naked Slash at Smart Bar in Chicago one crazy night. Naked except for the top hat, of course lol. I gotta say I misted up when I met Eddie Van Halen and gave him one of my band's CDs. This was when I worked at the Hard Rock in Chicago and a bunch of rock stars were in town for a Jason Becker benefit concert in the mid-'90s. EVH couldn't have been cooler, And he wanted to nail every female server in the place, a Latina named Julieta in particular (can't say I blame him; we all did lol).
