Another long interview be Beato: John Fogerty.
RobB replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Fogerty recorded a lot of the instruments himself. He was notorious for going to Fantasy Studios after hours and redubbing tracks. -
Here's one that you don't see every day…

Same. Once dialed in, I’ve yet to experience any problems with my Proto ll vibrato. I did swap out the string lock for a Stringlock Pro. Works like a charm. -

Ooh that ARIA! Hate the LPC, though. You know, 3pc-top and all. 🤣 -

So, they used a 3pc top? Big-flippin’-whoop! Wouldn’t be a 70’s LPC RI without one, now would it? -

I checked out one at my local GC today. It was the white on black model. It was very nicely made. I only played a few chords and checked out the construction. I did not plug it in. It was heavy like a 70s Les Paul should be. -

Because they won’t sell as fretless wonders. -
Sorry, I see that the nut is on the claw side. Try putting one on the block side of the allen screw. Makes the connection rock solid.
-
Try adding a second nut the claw side of the Allen screw. Keeps the screw stable.
-
I used a couple wraps of electrical tape around the Floyd block where it contacts the screw. Can’t help you with the D tuna. I’ve never set one up.

Callouses, Hand Strength and Years

I forgot to mention turmeric. That, too. During the pandemic lockdown, I was very sedentary for a few months. (Q: Who watched every season of Mike and Molly twice? A: Me, that’s who!) I’d fallen off my vitamin regimen for months and started up again, revamping it for my advanced years. After a few weeks, my knee stopped popping/aching and I felt normal again. I can’t say it will work for everyone, but it fixed my shit right quick. -
For real. I tea-bagged both handles AND the eq knobs…

Glucosamine and/or collagen peptides are good for muscles/joints as you age. Being conscious of a death grip on the neck is important. 5min of slow, easy hand and arm stretches helps, too. -
