How to get Ace Frehley tones on the cheap.

I'll try that at next rehearsal. There's a Marshall slant cab at our jam space. -

See my original post on the Lead 12 speaker swap. The Veteran 30s helped immensely with the Jube 12. They improved the sound so much. I installed a WGS Green Beret 10 and ET65 10 in the red Ministack. This combo gives a bit more headroom for a more full-range sound. I run both Lead 12’s preamp gains at about 11 o'clock (just enough to send a strong, not overdriven, signal to the master...) and use the AllPedal 1987 for stun mode. Also digging the Q-Zone, the lazy man's way to Schenker heaven, lol! Those are great to bolster an anemic amp, but I've got the sound pretty dialed now. -

That's interesting. The combos/ministacks sound pretty good dimed. A little ratty, but some knob-tweaking gets it in the ballpark. -
Great White's Mark Kendall diagnosed with stage 4 cancer
RobB replied to Dave Scepter's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Sad news. In the 70’s, Great White was originally called Dante Fox, a local cover band in the San Gabriel Valley. They were known for their nuts-on renditions of Zep and Priest songs. They eventually got management and changed their name. An independent EP was released which got enough airplay to get them a major label recording contract. I saw them open for Judas Priest in 1984 at the Long Beach Sports Arena on the, “Defenders…”, tour. They kicked some serious ass! I’ve always admired Kendall’s playing. Although he can rip, he always seemed to play for the song, kind of like Mick Mars in a way.- 1 reply

Great deal. These are excellent for Vs, Explorers and other pointies. My Jackson Rhoads has special needs, and this stand fills the bill.

How to get Ace Frehley tones on the cheap.

Schenker used one (w/wah) on, “Lights Out.” He managed… I read through the liner notes for the, “Lights Out”, reissue and Ron Nevison made no mention of the Pignose. You can plainly hear that signature, “honk”, accentuated by the CryBaby. Makes me wonder why Nevison didn’t use the Pignose’s line out into the front of one of MS’s 50w Marshalls? -

Help a newbie with an import Hamer 12 String Bass

Sounds good. You’re on your way to 12str mastery. -
Don't be sad, Brooks. I was trying to be cute, but that nuanced shit often does not play from behind a keyboard. That's really a nice Ibby. I like those smaller semis, too.

Drew, see my post on the main board. Today I went through the sample settings in the manual and they are a good place to start, actually. You're right about the controls, they are very sensitive and take a bit of getting used to. If you spend the time with it you'll be able to dial up some cool tones.
