  1. Make with the pics, Jake! Them piss-poor case shots ain’t doing it for me.
  2. Nice one. That’s a beaut!
  3. Wowee, that is cool as all get out! Nice score.
  4. One of the greatest blues albums in history, with not-so-great art direction for the cover.
  5. ehhhhhhhh..........................
  6. Gettin' me trifle nervous there, Luc!
  7. The world has gone apeshit. RIP.
  8. I hope you find a good finisher. If that’s a candy color it will be challenging to spot finish due to the silver undercoating. You may have to redo the whole guitar.
  9. Some changes to my Dean V:
  10. So, Ernie, your $500 guitar is now an $900 guitar?🤣
  11. Do you know a skilled repair shop? Maybe you could dowel the mounting holes and have the tailpiece countersunk 1/16-1/8"? Either way, it's only a matter of time before the string tension permanently fuks the tailpiece mounting.
  12. Nope. Cherry and opaque black. Yep.
  13. Thanks. I wondered why anyone would bother changing out stud anchors, et al. Good to know the hardware is original.
  14. Forgot to add this oddity. This Artist has Gotoh TOM/tailpiece combo. It’s interesting because the CMI ad copy says that the original hardware had been replaced. Not so unusual in the big picture. Do Gotoh and Schaller have the same metric posts? Or maybe Hamer only had Gotoh parts on hand for this build? Did Hamer ever use Gotoh hardware?
  15. Dang! That is a very rare color on a vintage V. Binding, too!
  16. Did some horse-trading at Real Guitars and a Hamer followed me home. Searching the web for specs I found this was once for sale at CMI. The black reflector knobs and serial # confirmed that. Besides the knobs, bone stock (replaced with the proper black tophats). After fretboard oiling, fret-polishing, strings/setup...this is practically new. I also replaced the straplok buttons with NOS, chrome Charvel buttons. The neck is a modern carve, sort of a medium-D, exactly my preference. Lightweight, with just a hint of neck-dive, which is negated by a leather strap. I be happy!
