  1. I think that looks cool as hell, and they've never been my cup of tea.
  2. Who was the sage HFC-er that coined the expression, "It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission"? Genius.
  3. Amen to that! Is there a Dean Martin board? I'd join that!
  4. Well, there the exception: All Dean content (and all threads started by BlackMagic for that matter) automatically get moved off the main board. Both are considered non-music and non-sensical by nature.
  5. The Main board, as I understand it, is for all things pertaining to music. Everything else either goes to the OC (or to the FS board). That said, I don't believe there is a cut and dried "guidline" so to speak.
  6. I see it too. Looks like a lion's head. Very cool guitar, Carmie! I'd put a Pigtail on it, though. Intonation is for...nevermind.
  7. Thanks! MMMmmmm.......SsssprrOOOOssse....
  8. I had been after a spruce-topped Monaco for a while. You'd think that locating the garden variety version of the model would be so easy, but it seems that when you're looking for simple, all you find are maple tops, custom colors, etc. After owning two Newports with spruce tops (one with a Bigsby), and a Monaco III with a maple top, I knew that what I really wanted was to have the spruce top and the Bigsby, but with the longer scale. So, there was no need to look any further than the "standard" Monaco. I've found that I keep gravitating towards the long scale guitars. I think that's why I've always felt so comfortable with a Strat. The black Newport with the 'buckers and the Bigsby that I had recently was almost there. All that was missing was that scale. Even the maple top wasn't the difference-maker there. This Monaco fits the bill to the letter. Typical Hamer quality, with all of the specs I was looking for. And the spruce is so gorgeous, you don't long for flamed maple.
  9. Taken this afternoon.
  10. NOW you're speakin' my language! Nothing looks better on black than the obligatory zebra/double creme combo!
  11. There are times (Muse will attest to this) when a photo needs no help or Photoshop wizardry to be a home run. This is one of those times. PWN3D! by the King Sh!t of Fukk Mountain hisself!!
  12. Well, that does it. I had to change my signature photo again. The image of a hung over BruceM with REE-shard's KSFM cap is just priceless. You earned that cap, buddy!
  13. Just remember: NO BACKDROP!!
  14. That's just a Kizanski Signature Series Model Ranger with a maple neck.
  15. Top one is my Wrangler Slabtop Supreme, purchased off the factory floor in Houston two years ago. Easily one of the best guitars I have ever owned...or played. The black one is Ricky2's custom Texas Wrangler. His answer to the Schecter PT Tele. Once I played it, I sold all of my PT's (I had six at one point).
  16. For an American made, HAND made, bolt-on guitar, Robin Guitars can not be beat by any maker. Period.
  17. Damn, REE-shard! Jambalaya kicking in?
  18. The CC Red Bag: Good for what ails ya!
  19. Looks like a great time, fellas. Thanks for the periodic cell phone updates. Funny thing: Even though I was hanging with Butcher yesterday, I fully expected to see him pop up in a few of those photos!
  20. Eh....The neck's too big...
