When I bought a PRS brand new in 2000, my friend Ben kept getting annoyed with me polishing it. He asked to see the guitar, and propmtly dinged the back on purpose. My jaw hit the floor, and he said simply "Now it's got an f-ing dent in it, so you can play it and enjoy it. It's not furniture." He was right, and I now try and be careful, but I play all my instruments wherever and whenever I can.

In other news: CBS' summer reality series Rock Star: Supernova has been hit with a law suit filed by an Orange County rock and roll band named Supernova. The band has been around since the late 1980's and has filed suit against CBS, Mark Burnett Prods, as well as each of the show's band members including Tommy Lee, for trademark infringement and unfair competition. The suit is looking to eliminate Supernova from the show's name, any reference made to Supernova within the show and to publish statements clarifying that Supernova is a band already established.

OK - here are my thoughts after watching three episodes. Patrice Pike from Sister 7 is great as a Sister 7 singer, why put her in this forum? She belongs doing more Sister 7 stuff, which was a great record. Aside from the Austrailan and wierd looking freakboy, none of them can sing metal. The chicks can't sing metal, and some can't sing period. WHY DO WE HAVE THE SAME LAME FUCKING SONGS AS LAST SHOW?!? I had to get that off my chest. I'd like to see any one of these pussies sing "Screaming for Vengence" or "Killers." Oh, and can we throw in some CULT and remove shitvana songs from the setlist? BB - great to look at, sucks as a hostess. Bring on Carmen. That spanish broad looks like a man facially. I like the freak, but she can't sing. The kid from New Hampshire needs to join an R&B band. What the hell is the winner going to sing? I've never heard a SuperNova song before. Jason Newstead should just freakout and beat the crap out of everyone. Now THAT would be good TV. Also, why doesn't one of these pussies facing elimination break out an Echobrain, Voivod, Metallica, MC, Methods of Mayhem, or GnR song? If they really had some balls they would break out a Slash's Snake Pit or Izzy And The JuJu Hounds track just to see Gilby's reaction. Perhaps a new Metallica or GnR song just for kicks. Most Hamers are not good financial investments unless you get lucky and steal a rare or old piece. Part out Jacksons, Fender Strats, Charvels, Ibanez, etc and you will double your money. I bought a beat to hell Jackson Japanese super strat for $25, I parted the entire guitar out for well over $300 on Ebay. It was easier to ship, but I had the hassle of multiple buyers, and had to relist the body two times due to non-paying bidders.

agreed, I think they all settled in a little. That young kid Jordie is the best, but I don't see a chick fronting them. I think Ty or Marty would suit them best, with Ty being more of a talent. I wouldn't pick any of them for INXS given the choice.

The first girl was the best, only about 5 out of the 15 had even marginal talent, personally, I can't see a chick fronting INXS, it doesn't work for me. I'm a fan of the band, I think its a great comeback idea, but these contestants suck. Plus, the choices of songs from most of these people sucked, but I will give props to the redhead who picked sweet dreams. That JD guy looked like a sex offender. Good band that needs a real singer, not some wannabe. I missed the last 10 minutes, who got the boot?

P-90s are tone monsters. I like the way they seem to "smack" the sound back at you. I've never tried them in Korina, but my old Gibby LP Jr had some great tone, I still could puke thinking about how I sold it so cheaply....

Kilroy - don't forget me on the Sykes. I agree on Dusk, it just kept growing on me, and the heavier songs to me are so RAW in thier tone that it's scary. I happen to have the Riverdogs CD too, you should also check out Shadow King, a band he was in with Lou Grahm of Foriegner. My only regret is not stealing the acoustic album from my college radio station when I had the chance.

All three are some of my favs, Dusk really grew on me!
