Oh dear God - that does look 'just right.' I need a second job.

Having trouble nailing this down... I've owned Studio Custom, Special FM, Sunburst, Monaco Elite - how's the MON3 by comparison? Thanks!
-
Hey - check me out! The ole Balletto broke into the (meaningless) charts! I know, I know - this is nothing, but it's more than I've ever had. I guess that means at least some people clicked my file. Woohoo. highest in charts: # 90 (30,230 songs currently listed in Classical) highest in sub-genre: # 29 (10,095 songs currently listed in Classical > Classical General Sweet! Own horn tooted. Thanks for listening.

^^^^^^^^ Y'all need to check out all of TTL's songs I have uploaded. Well worth your clicking time.
-
OK - They have been added. Thanks for letting me post these - now the SoundClick page will get more than my eleven hits since inception! Good stuff, Jeff. In case it's not obvious to some of you slower members, the songs whose names begin with "TTL" are the ones you seek. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cf...p;content=music

I uploaded it to my SoundClick page - let me know if that is a problem (you know, mixing your quality stuff in with my crap). I tagged it as "Rock en Espanol." Link here for full download or lo- or hi-fi play: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songI...;songID=8255142 Is that Tech 21 tone I hear? I compressed the file to 192kbps, which reduced the file size to around 7MB. It seemed to be a decent compromise in size without a very noticeable audio quality loss.

Sights and sounds of my Monaco SuperPro in action
Feynman replied to MCChris's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
That's some tasty playing and fine tone. It does look good on you. I have heard the Boss TU-12H is a very toneful tuner. Did you do the Keeley "G LED" mod and change the caps? -

Is this still available? If I hadn't just bought a NOS Vlasic I'd be all over it. Trades? -
What's this Hamer Relic worth?
Feynman replied to Bruce's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
Again this one popped into my head today. I think it's good for new members to read on occasion. This has to be one of my favorite threads ever. -
I suspect they will have that guitar awhile based on the price. It's definitely a Studio, not a Mirage. If you took out the middle knob in Hamer's 3-in-line arrangement and moved the pickup toggle switch into its place, you'd have it. Good looking natural finish flamed top, but those older very plain headstocks are a turnoff to me. They also have a Black Beautyesque 3HB Monaco Elite (must be another custom order I suppose) w/ gold hardware, and a blueish Monaco Elite with a pretty fancy top - Nick approved. All three were marked $1750 and I think all three are new, even the '96 Studio. Ah, they have the other two on their website: Overall I was just in shock to see a USA Hamer in a store. That's a first for me.

I almost fell over seeing THREE Hamer USA guitars on display in an actual store today. One was a natural finish Studio(or Studio-ish), dot neck, fairly plain jane, with a Wilkinson trem. Looks like an unsold '96. The guitar had a knob-switch-knob-in-a-line layout, which is new to me. Was that normal on some Hamers? Just curious.

That's the way you do it. There are entirely too few "sold" items of late. I miss the good old days (like 2008).

Anyone going to the LA Amp Show???

Wow - that looks great. Have fun. -
Yeah, umm, same comment as I made on the earlier thread. Damn.

Why not so much love for Hamer on the bay and TGP

I think it does make you an odd man out. A smart man, but I bet a rare exception. -

I think the logo and headstock shape have an impact. And the import line. And the 80s. And the fact that I can't seem to go anywhere to try out a new USA Hamer. I think I read somewhere someone's theory that Hamer owned the early boutique market, but that they changed their direction/focus just in time to let PRS swoop in and take it away. Obviously I don't know nuthin about nuthin, so as always my opinion may not even be worth these electrons. I do know quite a few guitarists, and I have only been able to convert one of them into a Hamer appreciator. I have heard more than once that "Hamer used to be good back when they still made them in the USA." I haven't picked up a less than excellent USA Hamer. They seem to be consistently superb. In summary - ugly headstock. -

Rant and warning - Snake Oil Strings

Tuesday is the five month anniversary of my order. Would it be rude of me to ask for a status this early? -
Can we preorder this surefire masterpiece?
-
Hey - why aren't there very many Hamer Standard videos on YouTube? You Standard owners - come now, cough up some video!

I have a quick and easy favor to ask...
Feynman replied to Feynman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
I knew you guys would come through for me. Thanks for helping out. -
Can you all stop discussing and/or posting pictures of Standards? That would really help me out a lot. Thanks.
-
You got that right! I *STILL* want a Standard after three failed attempts with one. My experience has been one of beautiful thick midrange with a whole lot of ass underneath, all without mud. Ken called 0150 smoky once, and it made me want to hear it. We all know full well how I feel about Devnor's...when he typed "Feynman's Future Standard" I think my heart skipped a beat. Just sounded good... Hell, I bought the LOTT Standard twice, and I want it again. I've not played a Les Paul that seemed able to become that full sounding without also adding a bit of undesired mush to the tone, but I haven't played many Les Pauls. My favorite Les Paul belongs to a good friend of mine, and it sounds wonderful and "right" to me for a Les Paul, but I still would take the LOTT Standard back any day over that one, even knowing that I have to work to deal with that body shape. "Siren" sounds about right - I don't even know why I want one - I honestly think the shape is goofy looking. But...but....but.... This is interesting thread timing, as just last week I started thinking of how to acquire another. I never learn.
