Hamerica Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 https://reverb.com/item/84432372-hamer-standard-1981-black-4-digit For those that are interested, saw this pop up yesterday. Well documented de-kahlered, retopped standard by BCR Greg. I believe BTMN coveted years ago. Asking price is $8,800 plus $200 shipping. DGStandard used to own this one if I'm not mistaken. Definitely players grade. Hamerica
kizanski Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Retopped, non-original case, non-original neck pickup... 9 grand is coocoo for cocoa puffs. Maybe there's a 50% off sale coming soon.
Hamerica Posted August 31, 2024 Author Posted August 31, 2024 I'll say this, the seller did a nice job in providing detail pictures. Guitar Center Vintage take note, this is how you photograph a guitar for sale! Hamerica
santellavision Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Damn, If they had only left the Kahler on it, I'd be all over it... hahahaha! 🤣

Hbom Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 If you are interested, you better grab it quick. Someone already has it in their cart, and it's expected to sell soon.

At least the top is aged to blend in with the rest of the guitar's finish LOL. And re-topped only means a book-matched thin veneer was added along with a mahogany billet to fill in the wonderful Kahler~Kanyon 😁 But at least the seller is including the original pups.

Hackubus Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Should $Turdy Fi Hunnert be the new $Tree Fiddy adjusted for inflation around here?
dgstandard Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 It was beat when I bought it back in 2012 or so. BCRGreg de-kahered it and painted the block to match among other work. It was pretty sweet! It was a favourite amongst my buddies. I sold this to a guy that had to have it. Wish I didn't. IIRC it is a duncan custom 5 in the neck🍺
