Sweet! It says it has one replaced poti and changed strap pins (as you can see in the photos). Only ever so rarely have I seen a brown plush case. Or is this just a faded red interior?

Didn’t pick up on that. I was temporarily lost in the gaze of the guitar. Good catch.

                      Very cool guitar for sure. SUNBURSTS are my fav model of Hamer guitars, they really got it right with that model. Prices have really jumped on these and for good reason they are fantastic guitars. I owned 2 of them both black from 1979...........in fact you bought one of them from me, long ago.

The fading on the back is uneven.  Maybe that guitar was kept on a stand near a window.

Yes, I still have the black '79 and another black '79 I picked up from an HFC member.  All good here.

Makes sense, thanks. I'm happy to be wrong on this and would love to have something like it.

I got a '79 from Ernie for like $1,650 about five years ago.  I had to re-fret it.  It's one of the best guitars I own.  I could, however, be persuaded to part with it for that kind of money.
