As a huge JP and BW fan, I have been following this tour on YouTube. I have very mixed feelings about it.

Elduave and I were about halfway to Port Chester when we got the word that the show was postponed, so we turned around on the NJTP and headed back to the DC Metro.  We had sort of figured that might happen since the Foxwoods show got shut down the night before.

Still looks like a lot of fun, but I can't make it on Wednesday!

He apparently had COVID in the above video. I would imagine some other mates caught it since they were sharing mics and shouting in each other's faces.

Tampa was the first night of the tour. I had a great time but I am biased and enjoyed the show for what it was, raw and gritty.

Here I sit 50 years after my first Aerosmith concert, when I had just turned 16 and was able to drive on my own. I remember it being very loud, kinda' sloppy, and the greatest thing I had ever seen in my life! I'm just glad Joe and Brad are still here, and so am I. Rock on gentlemen!

Thanks for posting Saul!

I was in the front row the next night in Hampton, NH...   I have a bunch of pics  and a few videos

but not sure I can figure out how to share.  (PM me if you want to friend me on FB, no pressure... lol)

One thing I'll say...   filming the from really close doesn't really do the band justice... they sounded

much better from 15-20 rows back.  I had brad's cabs pointed right at my skull and in that context

it sounded wierd...  and chris robinson did a good job.   he's no tyler but at least he got out there,

and there was a really cool selection of deep cuts...   combination, draw the line...  get it up...(joe had

a great story that steven wanted to call it "can't get it up" and Joe was like... pffff,  no one

wants to hear about that... )    chip away and the two black crowes songs were pretty cool.

“Chip Away the Stone!” My fav Aerosmith cover. I love the massive opening riff on, “Live/Bootleg.”

I loved that crazy, runaway feedback on Bootleg when I was a kid. Such a huge sound. Never could get into Aerosmith's studio stuff after that.

For me it's tied with the studio version of "Come Together."

Gonna break out my Live/Bootleg now.  I want to hear "Back in the Saddle."

The band needed more rehearsal  in the early shows….the drummer didn’t know how to start songs or where to come in and Chris Robinson was staring at his video monitors for the lyrics. A lot better now. Deleo and Brad are holding it all together. I do wish they were playing  more Project and less Aerosmith. When playing with Brad, Joe plays very differently than when he is the sole guitarist.  He is capable of holding all the guitar parts down alone…but Brad”s perfect guitar presence allows him to take risks, get sloppy, and go on sonic excursions that don’t always work. And this is coming from a HUGE JP fanboi!

All that said, I am glad he and Brad are out there cranking it out. I wish they were coming to KC.

I saw the JPP at The Back of The Rack bar in Ocean City, Md in the spring of 1983, IIRC. Mind-numbingly loud and I was pressed against the front of the stage at Perry’s feet. One of the best shows ever. I still have the pick Joe threw to me.
