velorush Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 That's really cool and takes up far less space than the stand like this I bought BITD: 2 Quote
santellavision Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Looks very cool. I have one just like Jeff above has. It's a pain to carry. These look pretty cool. Not sure about the Nylon material version, but the Aluminum version looks nice! Quote
Jimbilly Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 that's pretty neat, I had imagined something sort of like that but just out of wood, and from looking at his photos: you could make one with 3 pieces of wood and no fasteners: the sides would be similar shape, if a bottom connector piece was cut correctly it would have cutouts that slide into cutouts in the side pieces and the weight of the amp on the connector piece would keep it all together. I'll ask my 92 year old dad to make me one! - he'll even paint it green for me like he does to everything he makes. Of course the downside to having 3 pieces and no fasteners is the inevitable "where's that missing piece?" moment. Quote

I bought a $10 folding tiny one from sweetwater, and usually wedge/lean the small amp up against a wall or fake potted plant. 1 Quote

I brought it down from the attic to set up my combo in the new music room / office. The amp isn't that large, but it was nearly in the middle of the room sitting on that thing. I put it back up in the attic. 23 minutes ago, Dave Scepter said: I still use these Makes me miss my old SF Twin Reverb with the factory JBLs. My back doesn't miss it, but I do. 2 Quote

django49 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 (edited) Looks like a good deal. Count me in. I DO like the Atlas stands for use with head/cab amps to achieve the same effect, but they are a lot more expensive......I have made replicas and like them a lot.....There are advantages to having your own shop! https://atlas-stands.com/index.php/products/ Edited November 12, 2025 by django49 add picture 2 Quote
velorush Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 I especially like your complimentary head stand eliminating the need for the Fender Piggyback bits on top of the cabinet. Nicely done! Quote

Nicely done! You can probably tell from the top picture, but the back support folds down and the head support stacks with it.....Very easy to transport for gigs. Still, the Kickstarter version would be a great choice for a combo amp and a heckuva lot less $$. 1 Quote
svl Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 The adjustability shown on the Kiclstarter page really sells it. Tell your pal he's got a winner. Quote
Mike Brooks Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Lighter and easier to transport. 2 Quote
