Dutchman Posted Thursday at 12:24 PM Posted Thursday at 12:24 PM (edited) Gone to a place where a nickel still plays the jukebox. Another bought you a glass of warm beer. He was odd but incredibly original. Did tours consisting of nothing more than prisons and small bars. All with beat up Peavey PA equipment. Truly the wandering minstrel that drank to much, smoked to much and you never had to wonder what he was thinking. An American Original! RIP Mr. Coe Edited Thursday at 12:25 PM by Dutchman 8 2 Quote

LucSulla Posted Friday at 12:32 AM Posted Friday at 12:32 AM My favorite DAC story is actually Waylon's story about threatening to kick his ass back in the 70s. 1 Quote

Willie G. Moseley Posted Friday at 01:12 PM Posted Friday at 01:12 PM In my neck of the woods "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" was a mandatory song for bar bands. It was a "learn it or get your ass klcked by the patrons 1 1 Quote
Brooks Posted Friday at 02:20 PM Posted Friday at 02:20 PM (edited) Controversial artist. He Wrote some classics, but had some cringe racist tunes, and did that bizarre album with Pantera. Edited Friday at 02:37 PM by Brooks Quote
shankyboy Posted Friday at 07:04 PM Posted Friday at 07:04 PM I saw him at a legendary place called Casseopia's in Ponca City, Oklahoma when I was a Freshman in college in '82. He totally rocked the house. By the time the show was over nobody could stand or breathe because of all the alcohol that was consumed and the smoke that was in the air. It took me a couple of days to fully recover from that one. He was an original for sure. R.I.P. DAC. 2 Quote
