Punkavenger Posted July 30, 2006 Author Posted July 30, 2006 special update ... brought the special into my buddies guitar shop yesterday to hear what it really sounded like (my amps in the shop, good timing!) had a real waynes world/spinal tap moment, no one was in the store and we blasted it through the marshall stacks ... (Pickups are too ... uh, bright...clean, a little flat ... they don't sound BAD, just not the sound I'm looking for, so they will be changed in the future) What a hoot! perfect neck ... if anyone is going to have a similar guitar made ... make sure you ask Greg what the exact profile of that neck is! Grover tuners are SWEET ... best tuners I've ever felt/seen new smaller size Hamer logo on headstock ... super cool flat top on the special ... Didnt realize, but I like it better than the archtop, never owned a special before ... perfect size and shape! Amazing guitar!

The neck size Mark is the "Vintage" carve, so anyone can order the same size as that one you have now bro!! I am not sure what those pickups are lacking, but it is something, neads more low/mids.
