Still my one and only Hamer. -- Fresh as the day she was born!

I'd like to see a complete shot of that one.

Please.

Coolest custom finish ever? Yup.

Brooks... those are two classy looking guitars. How do they play/sound? What do you play (music wise) on them?

That's about time, that's a perfect one !

I love the amber colored Monaco Elite.

Both of those guitars interest the hell out of me. How would you compare the Monaco to the Newports you have owned?

I had been after a spruce-topped Monaco for a while. You'd think that locating the garden variety version of the model would be so easy, but it seems that when you're looking for simple, all you find are maple tops, custom colors, etc.

After owning two Newports with spruce tops (one with a Bigsby), and a Monaco III with a maple top, I knew that what I really wanted was to have the spruce top and the Bigsby, but with the longer scale. So, there was no need to look any further than the "standard" Monaco.

I've found that I keep gravitating towards the long scale guitars. I think that's why I've always felt so comfortable with a Strat. The black Newport with the 'buckers and the Bigsby that I had recently was almost there. All that was missing was that scale. Even the maple top wasn't the difference-maker there.

This Monaco fits the bill to the letter. Typical Hamer quality, with all of the specs I was looking for. And the spruce is so gorgeous, you don't long for flamed maple.
